A single cable optical data/power transmission powered device system includes a single cable optical data/power transmission powering device coupled to a single cable optical data/power transmission powered device via an optical data/power transmission cable. The single cable optical data/power transmission powered device is coupled to the optical data/power transmission cable via a single cable optical data/power port that includes optical data conduit(s) and optical power conduit(s) with a greater cross-section area than the optical data conduit(s). A power receiving system in the single cable optical data/power transmission powered device receives first optical power, which was transmitted using the optical data/power transmission cable, via the optical power conduit(s). A powered device subsystem and data communication system in the single cable optical data/power transmission powered device receive first optical data, which was transmitted using the optical data/power transmission cable, via the optical data conduit(s).

A networking device security system includes a chassis housing a networking device. A locking element is movably coupled to the chassis adjacent the networking device, and an actuator device in the chassis is configured to actuate the locking element. A networking device security subsystem in the chassis receives a networking device locking command via a network, verifies the networking device locking command and, in response, controls the actuator device to actuate the locking element into a locked orientation that prevents movement of the networking device relative to the chassis. Subsequently, the networking device security subsystem receives a networking device unlocking command via the network, verifies the networking device unlocking command and, in response, controls the actuator device to actuate the locking element into an unlocked orientation that does not prevent movement of the networking device relative to the chassis.

A rack front-to-rear cable routing system includes a rack that defines a rack entrance and a rack exit, and a plurality of computing device housings between the rack entrance and rack exit. A plurality of computing devices are each positioned in a respective computing device housing. A rack front-to-rear cable routing device is positioned in one of the computing device housings and defines a plurality of protected cable conduits that extend between the rack entrance to the rack exit. A Single Cable Optical Data/Power Transmission (SCODPT) port breakout system includes a SCODPT powering device coupled to SCODPT powered devices via respective optical data/power transmission cables ('cables') and a SCODPT port breakout device. A plurality of single cable optical data/power ports on the SCODPT port breakout device are coupled via respective ones of the cables to respective ones of the SCODPT powering device or SCODPT powered devices, with those single cable optical data/power ports each including port optical data conduit(s) having a port optical data conduit cross-sectional area, and optical power conduit(s) having a port optical power conduit cross-section area that is greater than the port optical data conduit cross-sectional area. The SCODPT port breakout device receives optical power from the SCODPT powering device and distributes it to the SCODPT powered devices, and receives optical data and routes it to one or more of the SCODPT powered devices.

A PoE power aggregation system includes a PoE power aggregation device coupling a powering device to a powered device. The PoE power aggregation device includes first and second powering device connectors coupled to first and second powering device ports on the powering device, respectively, and a powered device connector coupled to a powered device port on the powered device. The PoE power aggregation device receives data from the powering device via the first powering device connector, and transmits the data to the powered device through the powered device connector. The PoE power aggregation device also receives first and second power from the powering device via the first powering device connector and the second powering device connector, respectively, and transmits the first and second power to the powered device through the powered device connector along with the data.

The adapter device includes an Ethernet port coupled to the powered device, and an optical data/power connector connected to the cable and including optical data conduit(s) and optical power conduit(s) with a greater cross-section area than the optical data conduit(s). A data communication system receives optical data from the powering device via the optical data conduit(s) and uses it to transmit electrical data via the Ethernet port to the powered device, and a power transmission system receives optical power from the powering device via the optical power conduit(s) and uses it to transmit electrical power via the Ethernet port to the powered device.

A transceiver handle heat dissipation airflow channeling system includes a transceiver device having a transceiver device chassis, at least one heat producing component that is housed in the transceiver device chassis, and a transceiver device handle that extends from the transceiver device chassis and that defines an airflow channel along its length. The transceiver device handle receives airflow at an airflow channel entrance defined by the transceiver device handle, directs the airflow through the airflow channel, and dissipates heat generated by the heat producing component(s) using the airflow directed through the airflow channel. For example, the airflow may be directed through the airflow channel and adjacent the heat producing component(s) in the transceiver device chassis, adjacent a heat dissipation device that is integrated with the transceiver device chassis, or adjacent a heat dissipation device that extends from a transceiver device port to which the transceiver device is connected.

A rack front-to-rear cable routing system includes a rack chassis having a first rack wall, a second rack wall opposite the first rack wall, a first rack entrance defined between the first and second rack walls, and a second rack entrance defined between the first and second rack walls and opposite the first rack entrance. A computing device housing is defined by the rack chassis. A rack front-to-rear cable routing device is located between the computing device housing and the first rack wall, and defines a protected cable conduit extending between the first and second rack entrances. The protected cable conduit houses a first cable connected to each of a first port on a first computing device in the computing device housing located adjacent the first rack entrance, and a second port on a second computing device in the computing device housing located adjacent the second rack entrance.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for controlling the direction of cooling air flow across components of an electronic devices. In one or more embodiments, a device or information handling system includes an air flow generator that is able to generate air flow in different directions by activation of a button, a controller, or both. In one or more embodiments, a sensor measures air temperatures of air when the air flows in different directions, and an air flow direction is selected using the air temperature measurements.
