The system receives, from a first party, item information relating to an item to be offered for sale. The system generates user interface information including criterion information and communicates a user interface, over a network, to a client machine. The system receives from the client machine and from the first party at least a portion of the criterion information. The system parses to identify and extract at least one criterion from the criterion information that is automatically satisfied by a second party to qualify the second party to bid on the item via the computer-based commerce system.

A method and system to automatically qualify a party to participate within a network-based commerce transaction is described. The system receives information from a first party. The information relates to an item to be transacted via a network-based commerce system. The system transmits the information that relates to the item to a second party and receives, from the second party, a request to be qualified to transact the item via the network-based commerce system. The system further transmits, to the first party, a communication comprising information that is related to the second party including a credit score related to the second party. The system further receives, from the first party, a response that corresponds to the communication and automatically performs an authorization process based on the response.

The transaction agreement is established utilizing a network-based transaction system (e.g., an online auction facility). A reminder option is automatically presented to the seller a predetermined time period after the establishment of the transaction agreement. The seller may exercise the reminder option to cause an electronic reminder (e.g., an e-mail message), to be communicated to one or more buyers. The communication encourages the buyer to comply with obligations established by the commerce transaction agreement by making payment to the seller. By automatically prompting sellers to issue reminders to buyers a predetermined time period after the establishment of a commerce transaction, for example, the number of occurrences of non-paying buyers may be reduced.

Method and system automatically to remind parties to a network-based transaction to comply with obligations established under a transaction agreement

The present invention discloses a system and method for an Internet-based shopping facility. The shopping facility allows a seller to select shoppers that may bid on the seller's auction listing or offer to but the seller's fixed price listing. Only the shoppers that receive authorization from the seller may bid on or buy the item or service offered for sale by the seller.
