A communication system facilitates a closed loop, two-way communication network between machines at a worksite and a remote processing facility. A management and control system receives operations data and generates recommended adjustments to the worksite operations. A manager system provides manager outputs over the communication network to adjust operations of the machines at the worksite based on the recommended adjustments.

Communication system for closed loop control of a worksite

A control system and method is provided for raising and lowering a vehicle antenna. The control system includes a location receiver for generating vehicle location data, an obstacle detection unit which generates an obstacle signal, an antenna, an antenna motor for raising and lowering the antenna and a control unit. The control unit controls the antenna motor as a function of the vehicle location data and the obstacle signal. The control unit compares the vehicle location signal to stored or received geofencing information defining a geofenced area, and causes the antenna motor to raise the antenna when the vehicle location corresponding to the vehicle location data is inside the geofenced area and no obstacle is detected. The control unit causes the antenna motor to lower the antenna when the vehicle location corresponding to the vehicle location data is outside the geofenced area or if an obstacle is detected.

Vehicle antenna control system and method

A reference model generates a model output indicative of modeled operations of one or more worksites. The model output is compared against actual operation data indicative of actual worksite operations. A recommendation engine generates recommendations to adjust the worksite operations so that they more closely conform to the model operations.

Model referenced management and control of a worksite

A platform comprises an array of slots for mounting electronic modules. Side rails are mounted on the platform. A side rail defines at least one outer edge of a slot. A central structure mechanically supports corresponding first electrical connectors for the slots. In a slot, a tray holds an electronic module. The tray comprises a second electrical connector supported at or near an interior end of the tray. The tray is secured laterally by at least one of the side rails. The tray is secured at or near the interior end by the second electrical connector that engages the first electrical connector. The tray is secured at or near an exterior end by an outer fastener associated with a floor of the platform.

An antenna system for use in an agricultural field or work area comprises a base having an upper side and a lower side opposite the upper side. A stake extends from the lower side. The stake is capable of mounting into the ground. A spring extends from the upper side of the base. A mast above the base is movably, resiliently mounted to the base by the spring. A lateral dielectric guard is mounted at or the near a top of the mast. An antenna is associated with the top of the mast, the antenna coupled to a transmission line that is secured to or by the mast.
