Method and apparatus for controlling rock drilling with a percussion device belonging to a rock drill to deliver stress waves to rock through a tool by pushing the tool against the rock by means of a feed motor and rotating simultaneously the tool by means of a rotation motor, whereby the maximum feed force is determined, pressure medium is supplied to the feed motor and to the rotation motor and the feed force is controlled according to the drilling conditions. The feed force is controlled on the basis of the feed speed and the rotation torque. The apparatus has a load control valve which controls the feed.

Method and apparatus for controlling rock drilling

A method and an equipment for controlling the operation of a rock drilling apparatus, which rock drilling apparatus comprises a percussion device for producing impact energy to a tool of the rock drilling apparatus, a rotating device for rotating the tool in a drill hole, a feeding device for feeding the tool in the drill hole and a flushing device for supplying flushing agent through the tool and the bit for flushing loose drilling waste from the hole. The feed force and the percussion power are determined and the relation between the feed force and the percussion power is adjusted to a targeted operation area within an upper and a lower limit.

Method and equipment for controlling operation of rock drilling apparatus

An arrangement for feeding soldering material into a space between a bolt and rock includes a sleeve-like nozzle which can be pushed tightly against a feed chamber on the rock bolt so that a feed hole in the feed chamber is connected to the inner space of the nozzle. The arrangement further includes a device for placing the nozzle around the feed chamber so that soldering material can be fed from the inner space of the nozzle into the drill hole.

The invention relates to a feed apparatus for feeding capsular cartridges into a drilled hole, the apparatus being intended to be used in conjunction with a rock drill apparatus. The feed apparatus comprises a rotatable roll-like cartridge magazine ( ) with charge tubes ( ) which are arranged on at least one perimeter and into which the capsular cartridges can be loaded in advance. The apparatus further comprises means for indexing a magazine, whereby the desired charge tubes ( ) can be rotated to align with the feeding line. In an embodiment of the invention the feed is performed by feeding pressure air into the rear end of the charge tube at a high pressure, whereby the cartridge loaded into the charge tube moves from the charge tube to a connecting pipe ( ) positioned at the firing line at the front end of the cartridge magazine and further along a feed hose ) to a hole drilled in advance. The apparatus can also comprise a control apparatus for automatic control of the feed apparatus from the cabin.
