Method of controlling a vacuum waste system, which comprises a number of sources of waste (), vacuum sewer piping () including at least a branch pipe () and at least a main pipe line (), a discharge valve () having an inlet end connected to a source of waste and an outlet end provided with a given type of connection to the vacuum sewer piping, and a vacuum unit () connected to the vacuum sewer piping. Vacuum is generated in the vacuum sewer piping by the vacuum unit and a discharge sequence for discharging waste from the source of waste into the vacuum sewer piping is activated by a discharge sequence activating means (), whereby the discharge sequence is set for a predetermined time. In order to achieve an optimized control of the vacuum waste system, the predetermined time for a discharge sequence for a source of waste is set according to the given type of connection () of the discharge valve to the vacuum sewer piping or according to the location (L, L) of the discharge valve with respect to the vacuum sewer piping.

Method of controlling a vacuum waste system and a vacuum waste system

Toilet arrangement, which includes a gravity toilet bowl () provided with a water trap () and an outlet (). The arrangement further includes a water valve (), a flush water tank (), and a flush valve () arranged between the flush water tank () and the toilet bowl (), and an activating means () for activating a flushing sequence. In order to allow for the use of a standard gravity toilet bowl in connection with a vacuum sewage system, the toilet arrangement comprises an adapter () which is arranged between the gravity toilet bowl () and a discharge valve () connected to a vacuum sewer piping (). A control mechanism () is connected to the vacuum sewer piping (), the discharge valve (), the water valve () and the flush valve (), whereby the control mechanism () is arranged to be activated by means of the activating means ().

Method for controlling a vacuum sewage system for a building or for a marine vessel, which includes a vacuum unit (), vacuum piping (), a source of sewage (), and a discharge valve () between each source of sewage and the vacuum piping, wherein the vacuum unit generates a predetermined vacuum level in the vacuum piping, in which method the operation of the vacuum sewage system is monitored. In order to ensure an efficiently operating vacuum sewage system, the running time of the vacuum unit is monitored and the vacuum level of the vacuum piping is monitored.

Method for controlling a vacuum sewage system for a building or for a marine vessel

Disclosed is a sewer system including a sewage receptacle, sewer piping connected to the sewage receptacle by means of a discharge valve, a mechanism for generating vacuum in the sewer piping, and a control mechanism for controlling the discharge valve. In order to achieve a more rapid closing of the discharge valve after discharge of the sewage from the sewage receptacle, the vacuum sewer system further comprises an aeration device in direct fluid communication with the discharge valve. The control mechanism is arranged to control the aeration device. Also disclosed is a discharge valve () for such a vacuum sewer system.

Vacuum sewer system

The invention relates to a liquid ring pump () for generating vacuum and for pumping a flow of sewage in a vacuum sewage system. The liquid ring pump comprises in the direction of the flow of sewage a pump inlet (), an inlet chamber (), a pump housing () provided with a rotor () arranged on a drive shaft () provided with a mechanical seal (), an outlet chamber (), and an pump outlet (). The mechanical seal () is arranged within the outlet chamber (). The outlet chamber () is provided with an integrated extension () providing an enlargement of the outlet chamber () in order to retain the flow of sewage in the outlet chamber () before it is discharged from the pump outlet () in order to improve the lubrication of the mechanical seal ().

Liquid ring pump and method for operating a liquid ring pump

The invention relates to a vacuum sewage system, which includes a sanitary unit, such as a toilet unit, vacuum sewer piping () connected to the sanitary unit, a discharge valve between the sanitary unit and the vacuum sewer piping, and a vacuum generating device for generating vacuum in the vacuum sewer piping. The system comprises an on-line separator device () in the vacuum sewer piping () and a first pump means () and a second pump means () connected in parallel with the on-line separator device (). The first pump means () is a vacuum pump for generating vacuum in the vacuum sewer piping () and for evacuating air from the sewage flow flowing into the on-line separator device () and the second pump means () is arranged for pumping mainly sewage from the sewage flow flowing into the on-line separator device ().

Vacuum sewage system

A vacuum sewer system ( ) comprises a source of sewage ( ) and sewer piping ( ) comprising a first sewer pipe ( ) and a second sewer pipe ( ). A first sewer valve ( ) provided with an outlet port ( ) is arranged between the source of sewage ( ) and the first sewer pipe ( ) and a second sewer valve ( ) is arranged between the first sewer pipe ( ) and the second sewer pipe ( ), whereby the system comprises a vacuum generating means ( ) for providing vacuum in the sewer piping ( ). In order to minimize the noise level and the space requirement of the system the first sewer pipe ( ) provides an intermediate receptacle for the sewage.
