Techniques for developing and/or building microwave system infrastructure are enabled. For example, a method can comprise: based on the properties of the respective ones of the group of microwave devices as populated in the representation, defining, a system comprising a processor, rules that define permissible interactions between respective ones of a group of microwave devices associated with a development of a microwave network infrastructure, based on a representation and rules, planning, by the system, respective wireless hops between the respective ones of the group of microwave devices, and assigning, by the system, respective wireless paths to respective ones of the respective wireless hops further based on the rules.

A dark fiber dense wavelength division multiplexing service path design microservice (ddSPDmS) can provide a scalable self-contained meta-data driven approach for a flexible implementation of a dark fiber dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) service path design solution. The service plan design solution can be used as a standalone solution or integrated with a network management application. In order to manage a large volume of circuit designs, multiple microservices can accept application program interface (API) requests in a cloud environment. Permission can then be given to any application to use the API to make a call to the design and inventory. Additionally, metadata templates can be designed to support a node, a link, and/or a topology for the microservices.

A method can include generating, by a system comprising a processor, a data record that identifies respective equipment of a group of dark fiber equipment that have been assigned for a development of new dark fiber network infrastructure usable via a communication network; generating, by the system, a circuit plan representing optical connections between the respective ones of the group of dark fiber equipment as determined based on a first constraint defined by rules; and associating, by the system, respective optical wavelength paths with respective connections of the optical connections of the circuit plan based on a second constraint defined by the rules.

A method can include generating, by a device comprising a processor, a data record comprising properties of a group of hardware elements associated with a wireless communication network; establishing, by the device, a set of rules that define permissible interactions between respective hardware elements of the group of hardware elements based on the data record; building, by the device, a circuit plan associated with the wireless communication network, the circuit plan comprising optical connections between the respective hardware elements of the group of hardware elements as determined based on the data record and the set of rules; and associating, by the device, respective optical wavelength paths with respective ones of the optical connections of the circuit plan further based on the set of rules.
