Devices, methods, and systems for controlling a plurality of devices and equipment installed at a building. A system or common model of the devices and equipment at the building may be accessible by a technician during setup of a BMS for a building. The system model may enforce standardized device names and standardized point names that may be hardware agnostic for the plurality of devices and equipment installed at the building. A gateway in communication with the installed devices and equipment, along with a computing device storing the system model, may receive point information from the installed devices and equipment and convert the received point information into hardware agnostic point information. The gateway may receive hardware agnostic control commands from the system model and convert the hardware agnostic control commands into hardware specific control commands.

Platform agnostic systems and methods for building management systems

A controller that is configured to control operation of a building component may be programmed using a programming tool to build a controller logic that utilizes sub-structures organized within a hierarchal tree, which may then be downloaded to the controller. The controller is operated via the controller logic such that the controller controls operation of the building component. The programming tool may subsequently be used to update one or more of the sub-structures. The one or more updated sub-structures may be downloaded to the controller while not downloading one or more of the sub-structures that were not updated. The method includes continuing to control operation of the building component using the controller logic that now includes the one or more updated sub-structures.

A plurality of triggers may be presented and a selection of a predefined trigger may be accepted. Corresponding actions for the selected trigger may then be presented and an assignment of building control components may be accepted for the corresponding actions. A system for augmentation of reality-based components and actions related to controllers. Actions may incorporate augmented reality-based wiring, commissioning and monitoring. An augmented reality based application may run in a smart glass, head mounted display (HMD) or in a smart phone, which can augment, for example, a building management system controller and help in wiring, monitoring and commissioning of the controller.

A programmable HVAC controller that include a controller and a touch screen user interface is configured to control one or more pieces of HVAC equipment in accordance with a programmable schedule. In some instances, the controller of the programmable HVAC controller is programmed to define a number of columns on the touch screen display, such that a selected day of the programmable schedule may be visually represented across two or more adjacent columns of the touch screen display, with the selected day of the programmable schedule beginning in a first column and extending across and into a second adjacent column of the touch screen display. The controller may be programmed to monitor the touch screen display and allow a user to set a start time and/or an end time of a time period of the selected day of the programmable schedule by touching the first column and/or the second column of the touch screen display.
