A method is provided for controlling a legacy application. The method includes visually capturing a series of movements. The method also includes recording the series of movements at a first time as a recorded series of movements. Moreover, the recorded series of movements includes at least a command that is configured to control a legacy application. Furthermore, the method includes invoking the recorded series of movements at a second time.

Method and system for integrating visual controls with legacy applications

A system for use in locating a fault in a power generation and delivery system is provided. The system includes a fault detection module configured to detect an occurrence of the fault and to generate a fault event notification, a satellite imaging system configured to acquire satellite image data, and a fault location module coupled to the fault detection module and to the satellite imaging system, the fault location module configured to receive the fault event notification from the fault detection module, receive satellite image data of a target area that includes the fault from the satellite imaging system, and determine the location of the fault based on the satellite image data.

Systems and methods for locating faults in a power system

A monitoring system is provided. The monitoring system includes at least one sensor that is configured to detect at least one fault within a power generation system. Moreover, the monitoring system includes a computing device that is coupled to the sensor. The computing device includes an interface that is configured to receive a signal representative of the fault. The computing device also includes a processor that is programmed to identify a location of the fault by considering a plurality of potential fault locations and the processor is programmed to determine at least one restoration solution to restore the fault by considering a plurality of potential restoration solutions.
