Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system automatically downloads a software application and a routing map to a robot of a smart home (SH) in a smart community (SC); the application facilitates communication between the robot and a smart home controller (SHC) of the SH, and the routing map facilitates determining by the robot of a route to the SH when the robot is at a location outside a preconfigured range of operation for the robot. The method also includes initiating a procedure for dispatching to the location of the robot a carrier robot to transport the robot to the SH, responsive to a request for transport of the robot; the request is directed to the SHC using the software application, and the request is in accordance with the robot not being configured for autonomous movement. Method and apparatus to provide communication and transport for a robot of a smart community

Method and apparatus for extending wireless coverage with one or more autonomous devices

An outbound roaming system detects that a wireless device has left a home wireless network and, in response, identifies a visited wireless network on which the wireless device is likely to roam or is currently roaming. The outbound roaming system queries the visited wireless network to offer security information for the wireless device. The security information can include a security parameter for the visited wireless network to mitigate a potential cyberattack enabled by the wireless device. In response to receiving an acceptance of the offer and satisfying a condition, the outbound roaming system provides the security information to the visited wireless network. As such, the visited wireless network can dynamically defend against cyberattacks enabled by roaming devices.

Cybersecurity system for outbound roaming in a wireless telecommunications network

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method comprising providing services over a network to a device, and constructing device capability and usage profiles. A level of service quality for the device is adjusted by adjusting a latency criterion regarding connection of the device to the network; adjusting a speed of transmissions to or from the device; and altering a routing of transmissions to or from the device. The network can be partitioned so that the adjusted service quality level is provided by a network portion having a predetermined level of resources. The adjusted service quality level can comprise a first level while the device is active and a second level while the device is inactive; the first level is higher than the second level. A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, dividing a media content item into a plurality of media content segments, at each media content segment of the plurality of media content segments, applying motion estimation between at least two video frames of the media content segment to determine a content weight for the media content segment, determining a bit rate for the media content segment according to the determined content weight for the media content segment, and encoding the media content segment at the determined bit rates to generate a data stream for the media content segment, whereby a plurality of data streams for the plurality of media content segments of the media content are generated, and transmitting the plurality of data streams for the plurality of media content segments of the media content to the one or more media devices. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system configures one or more robots to perform tasks in an establishment, and assigns to the robots privileges and/or priorities in accordance with a policy. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining, by a robot of a group of robots, a condition of the robot to obtain a determined result. A corrective plan is identified responsive to the determined result indicating a deficiency and a determination is made as to whether the robot is configured to perform the corrective plan. The corrective plan is executed responsive to a determination that the robot is configured to perform the corrective plan. Alternatively, assistance of a robot controller is requested responsive to the determining indicating the robot is not configured to perform the corrective plan. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, initiating a presence within first metaverse environment, wherein the presence includes a correlation between a physical stimulation of a human interface and first virtual stimuli occurring within the first metaverse environment. A virtual interconnection is initiated between the first metaverse environment and a second metaverse environment including second virtual stimuli occurring within the second metaverse environment. A virtual interaction is determined between the first metaverse environment and the second metaverse environment according to the virtual interconnection and an adjusted virtual stimulus occurring within the first metaverse environment is determined responsive to the virtual interaction between the first metaverse environment and the second metaverse environment. The presence is adjusted according to a correlation between the physical stimulation of the human interface and the adjusted virtual stimuli occurring within the first metaverse environment. System and method facilitating connections between different computer-simulated environments

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system determines that performance of a service is required at a first location in a smart community; identifies a robot to be transported, and determines whether physical transport or virtual transport is to be performed for the robot. If physical transport is to be performed, the system initiates communication with a robot transport controller to schedule the physical transport to the first location from a different second location. If virtual transport is to be performed, the processing system initiates communication with a radio access network (RAN) to schedule the virtual transport; the virtual transport includes configuring the robot at the first location. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device comprising: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising: obtaining a first indication of a first decision to communicate with a first communication device via a wired network endpoint of a wired communication system, the first communication device being in communication with a base station of a wireless communication system at a time of a making of the first decision, the base station being configured for first communications with a network transport layer via a first link and the wired network endpoint being configured for second communications with the network transport layer via a second link; responsive to the obtaining the first indication, changing in a route information listing a first latency value for the first link, the first latency value being changed from a first original value to a higher value that is greater than the first original value, the route information listing containing information associated with a plurality of communication devices, including the first communication device, that are communicating with the network transport layer; and responsive to the obtaining the first indication, changing in the route information listing a second latency value for the second link, the second latency value being changed from the higher value to a lower value that is less than the higher value. The technology includes a method performed by a system of a telecommunications network to manage network traffic of a 5G network. The system can instantiate a security system to sort incoming or outgoing network traffic at a perimeter of the 5G network into multiple groups that are each uniquely associated with multiple traffic types and multiple security levels. The system can inspect segments of data included in the incoming network traffic and sort multiple portions of the network traffic into the groups based in part on the inspection of the segments of the data. The system can dynamically adjust an available bandwidth of the 5G network based on each load of each of the groups and dispatch the portions of the network traffic in accordance with a traffic type and a security level of each of the groups.

A method performed by a cybersecurity system that receives a registration request of a wireless device over a 5G network and, in response, selects a network slice associated with a capability, a traffic characteristic, and includes network resources. The system dynamically provisions security resources for multiple network slices based on respective security requirements, which are determined by monitoring network traffic associated with functions or applications supported by the network slices. The system allocates the selected network slice including security resources that satisfy its security requirement to support the wireless device.

Cybersecurity system for network slices of wireless telecommunications network

A method performed by a network node that generates a schedule of communication exchanges between the network node and a small cell of a telecommunications network. The schedule is unique for the small cell among multiple small cells and sets times for sending status signals to the small cell and receiving counterpart response signals from the small cell. When the network node detects non-compliance with the schedule, the network node can begin to monitor the small cell for anomalous activity. Upon detecting that the anomalous activity includes malicious activity, the network node can communicate with the small cell wirelessly to deauthorize the small cell.
