Disclosed is a polyethylene composition. The composition comprises single-site multimodal resin A and single-site multimodal resin B, wherein resin A differs from resin B in molecular weight, in monomeric composition, in density, in long chain branch concentration or distribution, or in combinations thereof. Disclosed is also a method for making the polyethylene composition. The method comprises polymerizing, in the presence of two or more single-site catalysts, ethylene or its mixture with a C-C&#x3b1;-olefin to form a first multimodal resin and continuing the polymerization in the presence of the same catalysts but in a different hydrogen concentration, in a different monomer composition, or at a different temperature to form a second multimodal resin.

Preparation of multimodal polyethylene

The present invention relates to polyolefin compositions that incorporate an acrylic/polyether comb-branched copolymer, articles made from the compositions, such as polyolefin films and polyolefin fibers, and methods for making the compositions and the articles.

Polyolefin compositions

Ethylene polymer composites, concentrates and a process utilized for their preparation are provided. The composites of the invention have increased melt strength compared to the base resin and other improved physical characteristics. The composites contain an organically modified clay and may also contain a compatibilizng agent, depending on the base resin used.

Process for increasing the melt strength of ethylene-vinyl carboxylate copolymers

Ethylene polymer composites and concentrates utilized for their preparation are provided. Ethylene polymer compositions having improved melt strength

A process is provided for producing ethylene (co)polymer nanocomposites in a high pressure polymerization reactor. The process by which nanocomposites having organically modified clays incorporated and intimately dispersed therein involves polymerizing ethylene and one or more optional comonomers under high pressure polymerization conditions in the presence of an organic peroxide initiator and organically modified clay.

In-reactor process for making ethylene polymer nanocomposite materials

Disperse dyed polyethylene fibers obtained by either melt spinning or flash spinning and materials produced from said fibers are provided. The process utilizes dye blends containing at least three and, more preferably, four or more disperse dyes selected from a primary color group. The individual dyes are utilized at a concentration of at lest 75% but less than 100% of the determined maximum concentration which produces crocking. HDPE and LLDPE materials are effectively dyed using disperse dye blends formulated by the invention.

Disperse dyed polyethylene and process

A blend comprising a high molecular weight, medium density polyethylene (HMW, MDPE) and a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) is disclosed. The blend comprises from about 20 wt % to about 80 wt % of HMW MDPE. The HMW MDPE has a density from about 0.92 to about 0.944 g/cc, a melt index MI from about 0.01 to about 0.5 dg/min, and a melt flow ratio MFR from about 50 to about 300. The blend also comprises about 20 wt % to about 80 wt % of LLDPE. The LLDPE has a density within the range of about 0.90 to about 0.925 g/cc and an MI within the range of about 0.50 to about 50 dg/min. The blend provides films with significantly improved toughness and tear strength compared to MDPE or HDPE, and high modulus compared to LLDPE.
