Provided herein is a wireless healthcare system comprising at least one sensor and a base unit adaptable to be in communication with the sensor. The sensor can be is adaptable to communicate with the base unit at a first power during formation of a communication link and is further adaptable to communicate with the base unit at a second power after the communication link has been formed, and wherein the sensor and base unit are components of a wireless healthcare system. The sensor can be a patch adaptable to be positioned on the surface of a patient. Further provided herein is a method of using the wireless healthcare system and kit.

Low power radiofrequency (RF) communication systems for secure wireless patch initialization and methods of use

Techniques for minimizing latency and latency jitter in communication transmission systems are provided. In some embodiments, a first communication transmission system in a chain is configured to operate in accordance with a particular signal processing mode. Operating in accordance with the particular signal processing mode causes user data received in a first wireless signal to bypass a first set of one or more processing modules in an upstream receiver and a second set of one or more processing modules in a downstream transmitter. After the user data has bypassed the first and second set of processing modules, a second wireless signal that includes the user data is transmitted to a third communication transmission system in the chain. In other embodiments, the signal processing mode may be adaptively changed based on one or more conditions that are monitored along the chain.

Data communication over a frame synchronized digital transmission network

The present invention relates to a communication system and methods of use thereof. The system includes sets of complementary radios for transmitting and receiving signals to achieve high reliability and reduced costs. The sets of complementary radios are in wireless communication with each other. A new connection is made by selecting from amongst the complementary radios. Switching between complementary radios during a connection is also permitted. Optimized protocols and hardware for implementing the system are disclosed.

The second device comprises a first radio type and a second radio type. The first device is adaptable to form a communication link with the second device using the first radio or the second radio. The first device can be adaptable to transmit data to the second device through the first radio type or the second radio type. The second device can be adaptable to form a communication link with the first device through dynamic switching between the first radio type and second radio type of the second device. The second device can be adaptable to receive data from the first device through the first radio type or the second radio type. The second device can be adaptable to transmit data to the first device using the first radio type or the second radio type. The second device can be adaptable to be in communication with the first device through dynamic switching between the first radio type and the second radio type and the second device can be adaptable to transmit data to the first device through the first radio type or the second radio type. Further provided herein is a wireless communication network comprising a plurality of devices comprising at least two devices, wherein at least two devices of the plurality of device are adaptable to form a communication link using a radio type selected from a plurality of radio types, wherein the network is adaptable to dynamically select the radio type used to form the communication link. The network can monitor the quality of the communication link between the at least two devices and is further adaptable to dynamically switch between the plurality of radio types in response to the quality of the communication link.

The present invention provides methods, devices, and systems for wireless physiological sensor patches and systems which incorporate these patches. The systems and methods utilize a structure where the processing is distributed asymmetrically on the two or more types of ASIC chips that are designed to work together.
