A windshield wiper system (WWS) is provided and includes a wiper blade assembly drivable along a first sweep angle, an internal wiper trigger disposed to move with the wiper blade assembly, a measurement system configured to monitor a position of the internal wiper trigger from which a corresponding position of the wiper blade assembly relative to the first sweep angle is measurable and to output a sweep angle feedback signal corresponding to monitoring results and a controller. The controller is receptive of the sweep angle feedback signal.

Dynamic sweep angle measurement for fault monitoring of windshield wiper systems

A sensor assembly includes a mounting portion arranged to support a sensing device, a thermal shunt portion extending from the mounting portion, and a housing portion. The housing portion extends from the thermal shunt portion and is arranged on a side of the thermal shunt portion opposite the mounting portion to limit temperature of a sensor connector fixed to the housing portion of the sensor assembly. Gas turbine engines having sensor assemblies and methods of making sensor assemblies are also described.

Sensor assemblies and methods of making sensor assemblies

An aircraft windshield wiper system includes a wiper arm, a wiper blade coupled to a first end of the wiper arm, and an output shaft coupled to a second end of the wiper arm. The wiper blade includes a support member coupled to a blade element through a clip and a fastener extending through the blade element. The support member can be made from a composite material and the clip and fastener allow for attachment of the blade element to the support member without piercing the support member.

Composite wiper blade assembly

A windshield wiper system (WWS) blade assembly is provided. The WWS blade assembly includes a composite frame and a blade that has a length which is normally shorter than a corresponding length of the composite frame. The blade includes first and second ends attachable to corresponding first and second ends of the composite frame, respectively.

Mounting support assemblies for fire and overheat detection systems are described. The mounting support assemblies include a support tube connector having a first portion and a second portion, wherein a captive space is defined between the first portion and the second portion, a fastener arranged at least partially within the captive space and passing through the first portion of the support tube connector, and a biasing element arranged about the fastener and positioned between an end of the fastener and the first portion of the support tube connector, the biasing element biasing the fastener in a direction toward the second portion.

Mounting assemblies for fire and overheat detection systems

A fluid reservoir for a vehicle includes a reservoir body with a sensing chamber portion, a neck portion, and a reserve chamber portion. The neck portion is connected to the sensing chamber portion and the reserve chamber portion is connected to the sensing chamber portion by the neck portion. The neck portion defines a neck portion volume that is smaller a volume defined by the sensing chamber to limit slosh in the sensing chamber when a reserve volume of fluid is present within the fluid reservoir. Windscreen washing systems and aircraft having fluid reservoirs are also described.

Fluid reservoirs for vehicles

A thermocouple assembly for use in a high-temperature gas path that includes a thermocouple. The thermocouple includes a first conductor and a second conductor, the first and second conductors formed of different materials and coupled to one another by junction, a metal sheath surrounding the first and second conductors wherein the metal sheath is substantially coaxial with the both the first conductor and the second conductor. The assembly also includes: a first termination electrically coupled to the first conductor; a second termination electrically coupled to the second conductor; a first connector configured to couple to the first termination; a second connector configured to couple to the second termination; and a housing configured to cover the first and second terminations and the first and second connectors.
