An impedance sensing structure is provided and includes a dielectric layer, a spiral electrode pair forming a dual spiral channel on the dielectric layer and having an inlet portion at a central region of the dual spiral channel and an outlet portion at an end of the dual spiral channel, inlet and outlet elements and sensing circuitry. The inlet and outlet elements are coupled with the inlet and outlet portions, respectively, for directing fluid or gas to flow through the dual spiral channel. The sensing circuitry is electrically connected with the spiral electrode pair and configured to sense the particles in the fluid or gas in accordance with an impedance of the spiral electrode pair and the fluid or gas flowing through the dual spiral channel.

A sensing structure is provided and includes a tubular element through which a fluid is flowable along a single path, an array of sensors disposed along a length of the tubular element whereby the fluid is flowable through each of the sensors and sensing circuitry electrically connected with each of the sensors and configured to measure a reactance of each of the sensors and to determine whether any reactance is indicative of a presence of a biological cell in the fluid flowing through the corresponding sensors.

A technique of data classification and data protection includes recording, in a lineage repository, dependence relationships between data objects and recording, in a classification repository, data classifications applicable to data objects. The data classifications each indicate a respective class of sensitive data to which data protection is to be applied. Based on receiving a classification job requesting classification of a first data object, a processor determines whether the lineage repository records a dependence relationship with a second data object. Based on determining that the lineage repository records a dependence relationship with the second data object, the processor associates in the classification repository at least a particular data classification applicable to the second data object with the first data object. The processor applies data protection applicable to the particular data classification to the first data object. In some cases, the processor may order application of classification models based on cost metrics.

Data protection utilizing efficient data classification

A 2D microfluidic structure for capacitance sensing of analyte is provided. The structure includes a first substrate located above at least one microfluidic channel, and a second substrate located below the at least one microfluidic channel. Techniques are provided detecting diluted drugs using machine learning. Measurements and images corresponding to a product are obtained, wherein the product is formulated as a liquid, and wherein the measurements and images capture physical, spectral, optical, and/or chemical properties of the product. The measurements and images are provided to a machine learning model, wherein the machine learning model is trained using data generated from interactive learning modules (e.g., a generative adversarial network). The machine learning model detects whether the product or chemical is a real or counterfeit product. In addition, these techniques may be used by practitioners (e.g., medical personnel dispensing a prescribed dosage of a drug with a specific dilution level) to detect prescription errors at the point of administration.

Artificial intelligence for robust drug dilution detection

Techniques are provided for detecting counterfeit products. Measurements and images corresponding to a product are obtained, wherein at least a portion of the measurements or images are obtained from a mobile/IoT/IoB device. The measurements and images are provided to a trained machine learning model to progressively analyze the measurements and images. Based on the progressive analysis, a determination/prediction is made with an associated confidence score as to whether the product is real or counterfeit.

The method comprises extracting a morphology signature corresponding to one or more bacteria and extracting a motility signature corresponding to the one or more bacteria. The method further comprises merging the morphology signature and the motility signature into a merged vector signature and classifying the one or more bacteria based on the merged vector signature.

A set of image data associated with the mineral crystal is receiving. The received set of image data is analyzed. One or more inclusions associated with the mineral crystal is identified based on the analyzed image data. The identified one or more inclusions of the mineral crystal are mapped to a tree structure representing the surface of the mineral crystal. The mapped one or more inclusions are encoded as a chain-code associated with the mineral crystal. A radial distance between a center of mass value of the mineral crystal and a center of mass value of the identified one or more inclusions is calculated and a mineral crystal fingerprint is generated.

Structure and method for monitoring directed self-assembly pattern formation

A gemstone detection method is provided and includes using a camera to generate a set of training pictures illustrating three-dimensional features of a gemstone cut with a pattern. Each training picture in the set of training pictures includes facets of and inclusions within the gemstone visible along a point-of-view (POV) through the gemstone. The gemstone detection method further includes generating a trained neural network by training an untrained neural network using the set of training pictures and a set of training sketches of edges of the facets of the gemstone generated from the set of training pictures and using the trained neural network to iteratively generate machine-generated drawings from the set of training pictures. Each of the machine-generated drawings identifies edges of the facets of the gemstone. In addition, the gemstone detection method includes combining the set of machine-generated drawings into a three-dimensional model.
