The disclosure is directed to the use of an externally-supplied control current to control the adjustment of an internal supply voltage generated via voltage regulator circuitry, which may be identified with an integrated circuit (IC) chip. The configuration of the voltage regulator circuitry functions to establish a linear relationship between the control current and the internal voltage supply. This configuration enables setting the control current to a predetermined value, causing the supply voltage to deviate in a predictable and controllable manner, and thus facilitating verification of the IC chip's internal voltage supply test circuitry. Furthermore, because the control current used for this purpose is relatively small (e.g. on the order of microamps), existing on chip test architecture, which may accommodate such low level currents, may be re-used for the selective routing of the control current for such IC testing.

Current controlled voltage regulator testing

A device comprises a magnet and an angle sensor, wherein the angle sensor is configured to detect a rotation angle of the magnet. The device also contains a rotation counter, wherein the rotation counter is configured to record a number of rotations of the magnet. Gray zone prevention circuit with indirect signal monitoring

An integrated circuit has an oscillator circuit having an on-chip oscillator, a digital phase locked loop and a sensor. A frequency of an output signal from the oscillator circuit is adjustable. The digital phase locked loop receives the output signal from the oscillator circuit at an input and a synchronization signal based on an output signal from an external precision oscillator in the form of a crystal oscillator or MEMS oscillator at an external interface and generates a control signal in order to synchronize the frequency of the oscillator circuit with the frequency of the external crystal oscillator. The sensor is designed to measure at least one environmental parameter, wherein the digital phase locked loop is designed to take into account the at least one measured environmental parameter when generating the control signal.
