The invention relates to a method for forming a highly electroconductive surface on an aluminum piece. A highly conductive layer of silver is formed on the piece by means of a eutectic join. The temperature of the aluminum piece is raised gradually and the oxide layer formed on the surface of the piece is removed. After the first heating stage, the silver piece that is to be attached is transferred to the cleaned surface. The contact point is heated to a temperature where a eutectic bond is generated between the aluminum and silver. During the second heating stage a slight momentary loading is applied to the contact point.

Method for forming a tight-fitting silver surface on an aluminium piece

The invention relates to a method for achieving a good contact surface on an aluminium electrode support bar used in electrolysis. In the method the support bar is fabricated as a continuous bar and a highly electroconductive layer is formed on its end. The highly electroconductive layer forms a metallic bond with the support bar and can be achieved for example with thermal spray coating. The invention also relates to an electrode support bar, the end of which is coated with a highly electroconductive material.

Method for the formation of a good contact surface on an aluminium support bar and a support bar

The disclosure relates to a method of obtaining a good current contact on the support bar of a cathode used in electrolysis. In this method a highly electroconductive layer is formed on the contact piece on the end of the support bar of the cathode, especially at the point that comes into contact with the electrolysis cell busbar. The electroconductive layer forms a metallic bond with the contact piece of the support bar. The disclosure also relates to the cathode support bar, wherein a highly electroconductive layer is formed to the contact piece on the end of said bar, in particular the area that touches the electrolysis cell busbar.

A method for joining a highly electroconductive core element () to a jacket element () made of refined steel. In said method, the electroconductive core element (), such as a copper bar, and the joining agent element () are inserted in the jacket element (), and at least the juncture area of the elements to be joined is thermally treated, so that there is created a metallurgical joint between the electroconductive core element () and the refined-steel jacket element ().

A method for creating an electroconductive joint in connection with conductor rails made of copper or copper alloy, in which method in between the conductor rail elements to be joined, there is applied soldering/brazing agent, whereafter at least the junction area is heated, so that a joint is created. Method for making an electroconductive joint

A method for plugging a hole, particularly a hole provided in a cooling element, in which method a hole formed in a piece essentially made of mainly copper, for instance in the housing element of a cooling element, there is arranged a plug mainly made of copper. Between the side surface of the plug and the inner surface of the hole, there is arranged brazing agent with a melting temperature lower than that of the pieces to be joined together, and the junction area between the plug and the piece, such as the housing element of the cooling element, is heated at least up to the melting temperature of the brazing agent or to the vicinity thereof, whereafter the junction area is cooled. The invention also relates to a cooling element manufactured according to said method.
