A display device includes first group electrodes and the second group electrodes spaced apart from second group electrodes in a first direction, respectively, light emitting elements disposed on the first group electrodes and the second group electrodes, a first connection electrode and a second connection electrode disposed on the first group electrodes and extending in the first direction, a third connection electrode and a fourth connection electrode disposed on the first group electrodes and the second group electrodes and extending in the first direction, and a fifth connection electrode disposed on at least two electrodes of the second group electrodes and spaced apart from the first connection electrode and the second connection electrode in the first direction. Each of the first connection electrode, the second connection electrode, and the fifth connection electrode is disposed between the third connection electrode and the fourth connection electrode in a second direction.

Display device

A display device includes alignment electrodes spaced apart from each other, first and second light emitting elements between the alignment electrodes, a first pixel electrode electrically connected to first end portions of the first light emitting elements, a second pixel electrode electrically connected to second end portions of the first light emitting elements, a third pixel electrode electrically connected to the second pixel electrode and to first end portions of the second light emitting elements, a fourth pixel electrode electrically connected to second end portions of the second light emitting elements, and an insulating layer between the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode, wherein the insulating layer includes at least one opening exposing the second end portions of the first and second light emitting elements.

Display device with improved light emission efficiency

A display device may include: a base layer including a display area and a non-display area; and a plurality of pixels provided on the display area, and each including a plurality of sub-pixels. Each of the sub-pixels may include a pixel circuit layer, and a display element layer including an emission area formed to emit light, and a non-emission area provided around a perimeter of the emission area. The display element layer may include: a partition wall provided on the emission area of each of the sub-pixels; a bank provided on the non-emission area of each sub-pixel, and disposed on a surface equal to a surface on which the partition wall is disposed; a first electrode and a second electrode provided on the partition wall and spaced apart from each other; and at least one light emitting element provided between the first and second electrodes in the emission area of each sub-pixel, and configured to emit the light.

Display device and manufacturing method thereof

A display device includes a pixel disposed in a display area. The pixel includes a first electrode; a first insulating layer disposed on the first electrode, and including openings, each of the openings exposing different areas of the first electrode and defining respective cells; light emitting elements disposed in the respective cells, each of the light emitting elements including a first end electrically connected to the first electrode; and a second end protruding upward from the first insulating layer; and a second electrode disposed on the light emitting elements, and electrically connected to the second ends of each of the light emitting elements.

The light emitting device may include: a substrate; a first electrode provided on the substrate, and a second electrode disposed on a plane identical with a plane of the first electrode at a position spaced apart from the first electrode; at least one light emitting element provided on the substrate, and including a first end and a second end with respect to a longitudinal direction; a bridge pattern provided on the light emitting element, and coupled to the second end of the light emitting element; a first contact electrode provided on the substrate, and coupling the first electrode with the first end of the light emitting element; and a second contact electrode provided on the substrate, and coupling the bridge pattern with the second electrode.

Light emitting apparatus, manufacturing method thereof, and display apparatus provided therewith

A display device may include a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, and pixels provided on the display area. Each pixel includes sub-pixels each including an emission area and a non-emission area. Each of the sub-pixels may include a display element layer including at least one light emitting element that emits light. The display element layer may include a first electrode and a second electrode spaced apart from each other with the light emitting element disposed therebetween, connection lines including a first connection line extending in a row direction of the substrate and electrically connected to the first electrode, and a second connection line extending parallel to the first connection line and connected to the second electrode. Two connection lines having a symmetric structure may be disposed in an area between two sub-pixels adjacent to each other in a column direction of the substrate.

Display apparatus and method for manufacturing same

A light emitting device includes first and second electrodes disposed on a substrate; an insulating layer disposed on the substrate and including a groove extending in a first direction intersecting with the first and the second electrodes, and first and second contact portions that expose areas of the first and the second electrodes; light emitting elements disposed in the groove between the first and the second electrodes, each including first and second ends electrically connected to the first and second electrodes, respectively; a first contact electrode electrically connected to the light emitting elements on the first ends, and electrically connected to the first electrode on the first contact portion; and a second contact electrode electrically connected to the light emitting elements on the second ends, and electrically connected to the second electrode on the second contact portion.

Light-emitting device, manufacturing method thereof, and display device having same

A light emitting device may include: a substrate including emission areas; a first electrode disposed on the substrate; a second electrode disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from the first electrode; light emitting elements disposed on the substrate, each of the light emitting elements including a first end and a second end in a longitudinal direction of the light emitting elements; a bank disposed in each of the emission areas and including openings in which portions of each of the unit emission areas are exposed; a first contact electrode that electrically connects the first electrode with the first end of each of the light emitting elements; and a second contact electrode that electrically connects the second electrode with the second end of each of the light emitting elements. At least one of the light emitting elements may be disposed in each of the openings.

Light-emitting device and display device including same

A light emitting device may include: a first emission area including a first light emitting diode: a second emission area including a second light emitting diode, at least one pair of first and second partition walls facing each other in each of the first and second emission areas at least one first electrode on the first partition wall to cover the first partition wall, and being electrically connected to a first end of at least one of the first and second light emitting diodes; and at least one second electrode on the second partition wall to cover the second partition wall, and being electrically connected to a second end of at least one of the first and second light emitting diodes. The first and second partition walls may have, in the first emission area, a structure different from that in the second emission area.

A display device may include a pixel disposed in a display area. The pixel may include first and second electrodes; a light emitting element disposed between the first and second electrodes; a first insulating pattern disposed on the light emitting element such that first and second ends of the light emitting element are exposed; a second insulating pattern disposed on the first insulating pattern such that ends of the first insulating pattern are exposed; a third insulating pattern disposed on the second insulating pattern and overlapping ends of the second insulating pattern; a first contact electrode disposed on the first end of the light emitting element, and electrically connecting the first end of the light emitting element to the first electrode; and a second contact electrode disposed on the second end of the light emitting element and electrically connecting the second end to the second electrode.

A display device may include a substrate including a display area and a non-display area; and pixels provided in the display area, each of the plurality of pixels comprising sub-pixels. Each of the plurality of sub-pixels may include a pixel circuit layer including at least one transistor, and a display element layer including an emission area and a peripheral area, a first electrode provided in the emission area, a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode, at least one light emitting element provided in the emission area, and including a first end electrically connected to the first electrode, and a second end electrically connected to the second electrode; a first connection line provided in the peripheral area; and a bridge pattern provided in the peripheral area, and diverging from the first connection line. The bridge pattern may be electrically disconnected from each of the first and second electrodes.

Display device and method for manufacturing the display device having a bridge pattern provided in a peripheral area

A light emitting device includes first and second electrodes disposed on a substrate and spaced apart from each other; at least one light emitting diode disposed between the first and second electrodes; an insulating pattern overlapping an upper portion of the at least one light emitting diode and exposing first and second ends of the at least one light emitting diode; a first contact electrode electrically connecting the first end of the at least one light emitting diode to the first electrode; and a second contact electrode electrically connecting the second end of the at least one light emitting diode to the second electrode. The insulating pattern may completely overlap the first and second ends of the at least one light emitting diode in a plan view, and have a width reducing toward a lower portion of the insulating pattern.
