A light guide assembly for use with a retractor having a channel for slidably receiving an end portion of a light guide. The light guide assembly includes a light guide having the end portion for slidably inserting into the channel and retentor for releasably holding in position the end portion relative to the retractor.

Extraoral mask for the treatment of oral mucositis

Intraoral phototherapy devices receive light from an associated light source and propagate the light into an oral cavity of a patient. The device comprises a light guide that receives light from an external light source. The light guide comprises a main body portion made of an optically transparent soft flexible biocompatible polymeric material sized and shaped to conform to contours of the oral cavity when inserted therein to direct the light to targeted regions of the oral cavity. The main body portion comprises a pair of spaced apart side wings sized and shaped to be received between a patient's teeth and cheeks on opposite sides of the oral cavity and a center flap intermediate the side wings for transmitting and directing the light to targeted regions of the oral cavity. A controller delivers light to the light guide in a controlled manner.

Intraoral phototherapy devices

A phototherapy device for delivering light emitted by a light source to an infant. The phototherapy device includes two or more light pads configured to be optically connected to a light source via a connector. Light emitted by the light source is received by the connector and propagated through the connector to the light pads. The phototherapy device also includes a flexible garment configured to maintain the position of the pads on a front and back of an infant.

An illuminated bassinet including a light source for delivering therapeutic light and anti-bacterial light, where an interlock prevents the anti-bacterial light from being emitted while an infant is located in the bassinet. Also, a surgical illuminator configured to concurrently or alternately emit different wavelengths of light for treating a physiological condition and for affecting perception of the surgical opening.

Tunable light source

An intraoral phototherapy device is provided that improves tissue illumination. Oral tissue illumination is particularly difficult inside of the teeth. That is, it is particularly difficult to illuminate the roof of the mouth, floor of the mouth, sides of the tongue, and/or ventral surface of the tongue. The intraoral phototherapy device improves illumination of these tissues using a bifurcated central projection that receives a portion of the tongue. An intraoral phototherapy device is also provided that includes a breathing tube to improve patient breathing and vocalization for enabling illumination of tissues at the back of the mouth. An intraoral phototherapy device is additionally provided that allows for separate control of light emission from different areas of the intraoral phototherapy device.
