A digital laser range finder emulator receives N-bits of range-to-target a in a parallel format and generates N-bits of serial data representative of the range-to-target data and an external synchronization pulse whose presence is indicative of valid serial data. First and second clock pulses are generated such that the second clock pulse is delayed with respect to the first clock pulse. Control logic, responsive to the first clock pulse, generates validity logic while control logic, responsive to the second clock pulse, generates transmit logic. The parallel format range-to-target data is converted into the serial data in response to the first clock pulse. The serial data is then output in response to the transmit logic. A gate, responsive to the second clock pulse and the validity logic, generates the synchronization pulse when the second clock pulse and validity logic occupy a common logic state.

Digital laser range finder emulator

An eye protection or equipment filter device for protection from laser eny is disclosed. The device may be in the form of a telescope, binoculars, goggles, or constructed as part of equipment such as image intensifiers or range designators. Optical elements focus the waist of the beam within a nonlinear frequency-doubling crystal or nonlinear optical element or fiber. The nonlinear elements produce a harmonic outside the visible spectrum in the case of crystals, or absorb the laser energy in the case of nonlinear fibers. Embodiments include protectors for the human eye as well as filters for sensitive machinery such as TV cameras, FLIR systems or other imaging equipment.

Nonlinear optical protection against frequency agile lasers

A serial data word processing arrangement which can be used as a hand held security access control is disclosed. A microprocessor and electronically erasable and programmable red only memory chips (EEPROM), are used in a novel manner for storing security codes or other data resulting in a device that retains memory even after loss of power.

This disclosure teaches a battery powered security indicating device which ttaches to the drawer of a safe. Sensors send drawer position and combination dial rotation signals to a microprocessor which in turn provides audio and or visual indication to the operator indicating when the drawer is open, when it is properly closed and when it is improperly locked.

Security indicating attachment for safe-type apparatus

A loudspeaker system for use in stereo sound reproduction which is adapted to reflect all higher frequency sounds off a reflecting surface before the sounds reach a listener. The system comprises two enclosures, each having two compartments. The lower compartment houses the woofer; the upper compartment contains at least two arrays of at least two acoustic speakers, each array being positioned vertically relative to each other and projecting in the same general direction. The arrays are positioned in the enclosure such that the arrays project at a moderately divergent angle relative to each other and are spaced at least one array width from each other. The portion of the enclosure between the arrays is essentially pervious to sound and thus permits sound generated by the speakers which has been reflected from the reflecting surface to pass through the enclosure.
