An interactive input system comprises an optical waveguide, a radiation source directing radiation into the optical waveguide, the radiation undergoing total internal reflection within the optical waveguide in response to at least one touch input on a surface of the optical waveguide. At least one imaging device is positioned adjacent to the waveguide, the at least one imaging device having a field of view looking inside the optical waveguide and capturing image frames thereof. Processing structure processes the image frames captured by the at least one imaging device to determine a location of the at least one touch input based on a frequency of reflections of the radiation appearing in the image frame.

Interactive input system and method

An interactive input system comprises a consumer electronic device and a controller for the consumer electronic device. The controller is operable in one of a touch input mode and a gesture input mode and controls the consumer electronic device in response to one of the detected user touch input and user gesture input depending on the operating mode of the controller.

Interactive input system, controller therefor and method of controlling an appliance

An interactive input system comprises a pointer input region; and a multi-angle reflecting structure located along a single side of the pointer input region and operable to reflect radiation from a pointer within the pointer input region from at least two surface locations of the multi-angle reflecting structure, wherein the at least two surface locations each have different respective angles. An imaging system is operable to capture within at least a portion of the pointer input region images of the reflected radiation located within a field of view of the imaging system. Processing structure is provided for determining the location of the pointer relative to the pointer input region based on the at least one image.

Interactive input system with multi-angle reflector

An overhead projection system includes an overhead projector support assembly extending outwardly from a generally vertical support surface in a generally horizontal disposition. A display screen having a display surface is mounted on the support surface beneath the projector support assembly. A projector is mounted on the projector support assembly and is aimed to project images onto the display surface of the display screen. Preferably, the projector support assembly includes a governor in the form of a damper and spring arrangement to control downward pivotal movement of the projector support assembly when a load is placed on the projector support assembly and to return the projector support assembly to its generally horizontal disposition when the load is removed.

Overhead projection system

Permanently installed vacuum system hose is stored on a hose reel device that includes a retraction spring and a hose guide mechanism that ensures the hose is placed in a tight, space efficient pattern of one or two rows of hose. This efficient storage pattern is accomplished without operator effort. A ratchet mechanism allows hose to be drawn off the reel on demand. When the ratchet is disengaged, the vacuum hose is drawn back onto the reel.
