A diagnostic process for disease detection using gene expression based PCA (Principal Component Analysis) classifier is provided. The present invention includes a method of diagnosing disease in a patient by performing a multilayer PCA classification that analyzes gene expression profiles of patients' biological samples to predict their class as disease or healthy, uses patients' biological samples to extract a set of fingerprint genes for specific disease and cell type which can be used as identification features, and classifies patient biological samples as disease or healthy based on differential gene expression profiles of the fingerprint genes. The present invention also implements the multilayer PCA classifier on patients' biological samples to extract a set of fingerprint genes for specific disease and cell type, and tabulates the fingerprint gene information in a database that will be referenced for disease diagnosis, prescreening in early stages of disease, and for confirming the stage of the disease, executed through the many embodiments of the invention.

Diagnostic process for disease detection using gene expression based multi layer PCA classifier

An adaptive signal detector to detect a signal in a spectrum space includes a software defined receiver for calculating a cumulative decision statistic for determining the presence of the signal in the spectrum space. The cumulative decision statistic is determined by a sequential energy detector that includes a block energy detector that has a block termination rule, a block sampling instant and a block decision phase. A truncated sequential energy detector has a truncated sequential termination rule and a truncated sequential decision phase. The block energy detector and truncated sequential energy detector are interoperated to provide the cumulative decision statistic in which the block energy sampling instants provide samples that are independent and identically distributed. The cumulative decision statistic determines the presence of the signal in the spectrum space based upon a non-Bayesian dynamic mathematical modeled relationship of the cumulative decision statistic.

Hybrid signal detection for dynamic spectrum access

An electronic warfare radio receiver of the monobit type wherein the signal processing circuitry, including a bandpass filter array, analog to digital converter circuit and Fourier transformation circuit, are located in a plurality of parallel-disposed but isolated receiver channels. The parallel disposed receiver channels limit interference between received signals and enable the customary processing of two simultaneous input signals of differing signal strength in each receiver channel; this increases the number of simultaneous input signals processable by a factor equaling the number of receiver channels used. Single chip embodiment of the receiver is disclosed thereby tending to compensate for the added complexity of the channelized processing. Signals falling in digital filter overlap regions are addressed by the invention.
