A block vector predictor (BVP) may be adjusted to provide a more accurate prediction of a block vector (BV). A reference region may be determined corresponding to a direction for flipping, for example, based on a reconstruction-reordered intra block copy (RRIBC) mode being indicated in a direction for flipping a reference block relative to a current block. The reference region corresponding to the flipping direction may be used with respect to a BVP to determine whether the BVP should be replaced with an adjusted BVP.

Block vector predictor adjustment for reconstruction-reordered intra block copy

An encoder or decoder projects, in an angular direction, a location of a sample in a block to a point on a reference line between a plurality of reference samples. The encoder or decoder selects a filter coefficient table, from among a plurality of filter coefficient tables, based on the angular direction and a size of the block. The encoder or decoder selects first filter coefficients from the filter coefficient table based on a fractional part of a displacement of the point on the reference line relative to the location of the sample. The encoder or decoder applies, to the plurality of reference samples, the first filter coefficients to determine a first filtered value. The encoder or decoder determines a prediction of the sample based on the first filtered value.

Mode dependent intra smoothing

Encoding and/or decoding a block of a video frame may be based on a previously decoded reference block in the same frame or a different frame. The reference block may be indicated by a block vector (BV). A block vector difference (BVD) predictor may be used to make predictions about the symbols of one or more magnitude components of a BVD. A quantity of symbols used for BVD magnitude prediction may be limited. The limited quantity of symbols used for prediction may be allocated to one or more of the magnitude components. Allocation of the symbols used for BVD magnitude prediction may be based on the total quantity of symbols used for BVD magnitude prediction and the respective quantities of symbols available for prediction of each of the magnitude components. Symbols of a motion vector difference (MVD) likewise may be predicted.

Magnitude symbol determination for encoding and decoding

Encoding and/or decoding a block of a video frame may be based on a template associated with the block. The length of the template may be determined based on at least one of: a position of the block relative to a boundary, available reference samples above the boundary, and/or the length of a second template of one or more other template derivation algorithms. The length may be adjusted to improve prediction efficiencies and accuracies of template-based predictions.

Video compression using boundary based template refinement

Encoding and/or decoding a block of a video frame may be based on previously decoded reference information in the frame. A weighted sum of the reference information may be used as a prediction of the block for encoding and/or decoding the block. The weights to be applied for determining the weighted sum may be based on weights that most accurately predict neighboring, template samples of the block.

Video compression using template-based determination of intra prediction mode

The current block may be predicted using a reference block and a difference between templates of the current bock and the reference block. The reference block may be selected from a plurality of candidate reference blocks. The selection may be based on a template matching cost that indicates the differences between the templates of the current block and the templates of a respective candidate reference block. An encoder or a decoder may transform samples from templates of the current block and of the candidate reference block into the same domain, for example, if the samples are in different domains before determining the template matching cost.

An apparatus determines a value of a coordinate of a sample is outside a range of values of the coordinate for samples in an intra block copy (IBC) reference region. The sample is displaced from a current block by an amount indicated by a candidate block vector predictor (BVP). Based on determining the value of the coordinate of the sample is outside the range of value of the coordinate for the samples in the IBC reference region, the apparatus adjusts a component of the candidate BVP to generate an adjusted candidate BVP. The apparatus constructs a list of candidate BVPs comprising the adjusted candidate BVP. The apparatus derives costs for the candidate BVPs in the list. The apparatus reorders the candidate BVPs in the list based on the costs.

Adaptive reordering of adjusted block vector predictor candidates

A wireless device receives, from an SMF, a message for a PDU session establishment, wherein the message comprises a configuration information for determining whether one or more packets are associated with a plurality of packets of a data unit (DU) based on a timestamp field of the one or more packets. The wireless device determines, based on the configuration information, that a first packet, comprising a first timestamp field, is one of a first plurality of packets of a first DU, and a second packet, comprising a second timestamp field, is one of the first plurality of packets of the first DU. The wireless device sends, to a base station, the first packet and the second packet.

A user plane function UPF receives, from a SMF, a DU identification information for identifying a plurality of packets for one or more DUs of an application. The UPF receives a first plurality of packets, of the plurality of packets, of a first DU of the application; and a second plurality of packets, of the plurality of packets, of a second DU of the application. The UPF sends, to an access node and using the DU identification information a first GTP container comprising a first GTP header comprising a first number identifying the first plurality of packets, and a second GTP container comprising a second GTP header comprising a second number identifying the second plurality of packets.
