Method and system for monitoring the autonomic nervous system (ANS) of a subject, comprising acquiring at least one physiological signal having W heartbeats, generating data which is a function of the variability of the heart rate on the W heartbeats, with the HRV having W&#x2212;1 RR intervals separating two consecutive heartbeats detected respectively at the moments tk&#x2212;1 and tk, each RR interval having a duration of value a&#x3ba;=t&#x3ba;&#x2212;t&#x3ba;&#x2212;1 with k=(X&#x2212;W+2) . . . X; calculating at least one parameter taken from the parameter TAS(tx) representing the level of activity of the sympathetic system and/or the parameter TAP(tx) representing the level of activity of the parasympathetic system; and/or other parameters such as the parameter SL(tx) representing stress level of the subject at the moment tx and calculated using the equation such that SL(tx)=100+TAS(tx)&#x2212;TAP(tx); and supplying data representative of at least one parameter.

Method and system for monitoring the autonomic nervous system of a subject

A multifunction antenna is described in which the multifunction antenna is divided into a first segment and a second segment by an impedance circuit that produces low impedance at a low frequency and high impedance at a high frequency. A high frequency radio frequency (HF-RF) signal may be transmitted or received using only the first segment of the multifunction antenna from a HF-RF transceiver by blocking the HF-RF signal from the second segment by the impedance circuit. A low frequency radio frequency (LF-RF) signal may be received using both the first segment and the second segment of the multifunction antenna by passing the LF-RF signal through the impedance circuit.

ECG data may be processed in a mobile device by receiving a stream of filtered ECG data samples comprising PQRST pattern cycles. An R point of a PQRST pattern in the filtered ECG data is determined. A portion of samples is selected from the filtered ECG data surrounding the R point. QRS duration of the PQRST pattern is then determined by processing the selected portion of samples using an application program executed by the mobile device.

Real time QRS duration measurement in electrocardiogram

A system comprising a pre-power amplifier and a hardware device which is configured to predistort an amplitude input signal by comparing interpolated data places, determined by comparing the input signal with data from a LUT, coming from a LUT with the amplitude input signal and choosing the closest input data place to the amplitude input signal to produce an amplitude predistortion output signal. The LUT contains predistortion data associated with the pre-power amplifier. The amplitude input signal is multiplied and scaled prior to being compared with the data in the LUT. A second LUT is used to predistort a phase input signal and the phase predistortion output signal is combined in the pre-power amplifier with the amplitude predistortion output signal. The system may be implemented in a mobile communications device.
