A 3D animation of the response of a vehicle to forces imparted to the vehicle during conveyance thereof over a course. Sensor data are accepted by a processor that defines an instantaneous state of the vehicle. Forces imparted to the vehicle are computed from temporal changes in the state. Wheel slip is determined by the processor from the computed forces. A 3D graphical representation of the vehicle is rendered on a display as being in motion under influence of the wheel slip.

A system for a three-dimensional reproduction of an off-road vehicle can include camera modules, sensors, interface circuitry, processing circuitry, and memory; the sensor can collect vehicle data and map data; the processing circuitry can adjust the vehicle data and the map data; the processing circuitry can graphically reproduce the off-road vehicle by the adjusted vehicle data and the adjusted map data, and the reproduction is in a three-dimensional representation.

A system for detecting and mapping off-road obstacles within a vicinity of a vehicle includes one or more processors, one or more location sensors, a display, one or more off-road obstacle detection sensors, and one or more memory modules. The one or more off-road obstacle detection sensors output an obstacle signal indicative of a location of an obstacle. System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to aiding a user navigating a vehicle by displaying on a display device, a view of a front or rear of the vehicle with three-dimensional guideline walls overlaying the view. In one embodiment, a method includes, acquiring data that specifies a steering angle for the vehicle. The method includes determining, based on the steering angle data, a left three-dimensional guideline wall and a right three-dimensional guideline wall that together identify a potential path of travel for the vehicle. Each three-dimensional guideline wall has a height based at least on a height of a portion of the vehicle, and wherein the left and right three-dimensional guideline walls have a distance therebetween based at least on a width of the vehicle.

A disclosed communication system for a vehicle and a trailer includes a lamp positioned on the vehicle and a conductive structure coupled to a stylized component of the lamp. The communication system also includes a primary antenna at least partially formed by the conductive structure and electrically coupled to a vehicle electronic device. The communication system also includes a secondary antenna positioned on the trailer and electrically coupled to a trailer electronic device. The primary and secondary antennas, together, are configured to interact with each other to provide wireless communication between the vehicle and trailer electronic devices.

A cargo tracking system for a vehicle includes an RFID reader configured to generate an output in response to a signal received from an RFID tag and an electronic control unit communicatively coupled to the RFID reader. The memory includes instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to: determine a position of the window; determine at least one of a camera setting of a camera and a display screen setting of the display screen based on the determined position of the window; capture, using the camera, at least one frame of a video of a real-world environment; and display, on the display screen, based on the at least one of the camera setting and the display screen setting, the at least one frame of the video of the real-world environment.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for providing a view of an environment behind a vehicle. The system includes a camera located on a track and connected to the vehicle, the camera configured to detect image data of the environment behind the vehicle. The system also includes an actuator configured to move a position of the camera along the track. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) configured to determine, based on the image data, whether the view of the environment behind the vehicle is obscured. The ECU is configured to adjust, using the actuator, the position of the camera along the track when the view of the environment behind the vehicle is obscured until the view of the environment behind the vehicle is unobscured or less obscured. The system includes a rear-view mirror connected to the ECU and configured to display the view of the environment behind the vehicle.

Systems and methods may include a camera mode circuit receiving input from a plurality of sensors, determining camera modes available for camera activation, selecting one of the available camera modes by using received input from the plurality of sensors, evaluating input received from the plurality of sensors to determine the current condition of the vehicle and selecting a camera mode based on the determine current condition of the vehicle, selecting one or more cameras from which images are to be displayed based on the selected camera mode and mapping images from the selected cameras to one or more displays within the vehicle, and displaying the images from the selected cameras according to the mapping in response to an activation event.
