A flexible film fluid-dispensing device including (A) at least one flexible film liner member having a flexibility property of from 3.6e-10 Nm to 2 Nm; (B) a rigid frame member for receiving the flexible film liner member and for removably holding the flexible film liner member in place during the flow of fluid through the flexible fluid-dispensing device; and (C) a connection means for connecting the flexible film fluid-dispensing device to the outlet feed stream of a fluid production process line; a process of manufacturing the above flexible film fluid-dispensing device; and a process for dispensing a fluid using the above flexible film fluid-dispensing device.

Flexible film fluid-dispensing device

A multilayer foam panel member including: (a) at least one top sheet substrate; (b) at least one bottom sheet substrate; and (c) a middle substrate of foam material disposed inbetween, and integral with, the top and bottom sheet substrates; wherein the foam material is produced by dispensing a reactive foam-forming fluid mixture onto a moving or stationary bottom sheet substrate of a foam manufacturing line; and wherein the foam manufacturing line includes a flexible film fluid dispensing device for dispensing the reactive foam-forming fluid mixture onto the moving or stationary bottom sheet substrate to form a multilayer foam panel member; wherein the middle substrate of foam material of the panel member has improved thermal and mechanical properties; and a process for manufacturing the above multilayer foam panel member.

Multilayer panel member

Provided are insulative apparatus and methods of forming insulative apparatus. As an example, a method of forming an insulative apparatus can include connecting a barrier material to a mold; injecting a polyurethane foam composition into the mold, wherein the polyurethane foam composition includes a polyol, an isocyanate, and supercritical carbon dioxide; curing the polyurethane foam composition to form a polyurethane foam and applying a vacuum to the mold to provide a pressure from 1 millibar to 500 millibar.

Insulative apparatus

A storage stable isocyanate-reactive composition includes a reactive component including (a) 5 wt % to 30 wt % of at least one Novolac-type polyoxypropylene polyether polyol having a hydroxyl functionality from 2 to 5 and a hydroxyl number from 130 to 450 mg KOH/g, (b) 20 wt % to 60 wt % of at least one high functional polyether polyol having a hydroxyl functionality from 6 to 8 and a hydroxyl number from 300 to 700 mg KOH/g, (c) 2 wt % to 30 wt % of at least one low functional polyether polyol having a hydroxyl functionality from 2 to 5 and a hydroxyl number from 50 to 400 mg KOH/g, (d) 2 wt % to 30 wt % of at least one amine initiated polyol having a hydroxyl number from 250 to 600 mg KOH/g, and (e) 1 wt % to 25 wt % of one or more additives; and a hydrocarbon physical blowing agent component in an amount of at least 10 parts by weight for each 100 parts by weight of the reactive component.

Isocyanate-reactive formulation for rigid polyurethane foam

A storage stable isocyanate-reactive composition has ethylene oxide content from 1 wt % to 50 wt %, based on the total weight of an isocyanate-reactive component that includes a polyol component, a catalyst component, and a blowing agent component. The polyol component includes at least one polyol, the catalyst component includes at least one amine catalyst, and the blowing agent component includes at least one hydrohaloolefin based blowing agent. The isocyanate-reactive component is storable at least at one of room temperature and a higher temperature for a period of at least 1 day with a less than 10 second change in gel time when reacted with an isocyanate component at an isocyanate index from 100 to 150, compared to when the same isocyanate-reactive component is stored for a period of less than 1 day at room temperature and reacted with the same isocyanate component at the same isocyanate index from 100 to 150.

Formulated isocyanate-reactive blends including olefin based blowing agent

Insulating unit are disclosed which are prepared by a cavity-filling, fast-gelling rigid polyurethane foam based on a formulation comprising a polyol component which contains at least 5 weight percent of an amine-initiated polyols and 1.4 to 4 parts by weight of a catalyst package whereby the catalyst package contains at least one amine catalyst and the weight percent nitrogen present in the amine-initiated polyol to weight percent nitrogen present in the catalyst system is from 2 to 8. The formulation is injected into the cavity and the pressure in the cavity is subjected to reduced atmospheric pressure to achieve the rigid foam having a thermal conductivity of less than about 19 mW/mK at 10&#xb0; C. average plate temperature.

This invention relates to rigid isocyanate-based polymer foam and composites thereof comprising a carbon black component comprising at least 50 weight percent of a fluorinated carbon black. Said foam having improved thermal properties, specifically, rigid polyurethane and/or polyisocyanurate foams for use in said insulation applications.

The present invention is to a molded rigid polyurethane foam for application in appliance, having a reduced thermal conductivity at densities between 33 and 38 kg/mand a process for the production of such foams. The molded rigid polyurethane foam have a ratio of applied foam density (kg/m3) to lambda (mW/mK), measured at 10&#xb0; C., 24 hours after foam production from 1.65 and to 2.15 and are obtained by the process of injecting into a closed mold cavity under reduced pressure a reaction mixture at a packing factor of 1.1 to 1.9 and the reaction mixture comprises: A) an organic polyisocyanate; B) a physical blowing agent, C) a polyol composition containing at least one polyol with a functionality of 3 or greater and a hydroxyl number between 200 and 800 and a water content of 0 to 2.5 weight percent of the total polyol composition; D) catalyst and E) auxiliary substances and/or additives.
