The present invention refers to removal of redundant information from plenoptic point cloud data, reducing the number of bits needed to represent them and thus making the plenoptic point cloud data more suitable to be transferred through a medium of limited bandwidth. The proposed solution is based on predictive differential coding, using the standard color channel of a point clouds as a reference for plenoptic data, and on the application of transforms for greater data compression.

The present invention relates to a prediction-based technique for encoding light field data by removing redundant information of light field data, reducing a number of bits by employing a prediction of a pixel value in all four dimensions of the light field. Using this technique to represent light field data, allows it to be transferred through a limited-bandwidth medium and/or to significantly reduce the required storage capacity for this purpose.

A hardware-friendly transform method in codecs for plenoptic point clouds. Given that existing video-based point cloud compression codec (V-PCC) is based on multimedia processor video codecs embedded in System-on-Chip (SoC) mobile devices, the remaining V-PCC steps should be as efficient as possible to ensure fair power consumption. The present invention relates to a method for compressing light-fields by exploiting their overall 4D redundancy using a hybrid approach that combines the benefits of sparse coding approach with pseudo-video sequence or multi-view coding to explore the inter-SAI redundancy and achieves very competitive results. This redundancy is particularly high when the light-fields are densely sampled. Therefore, this invention is especially efficient for densely sampled light-fields, such as the ones acquired by light-field cameras.

A method for compressing light field data using variable block-size four-dimensional transform and bit-plane hexadeca-tree decomposition, the method including: partitioning a four-dimensional pixel data of a light field into four-dimensional blocks of independent fixed size; partitioning the four-dimensional blocks in a set of four-dimensional non-overlapping sub-blocks of different sizes according to a rate-distortion criterion; independently transforming the four-dimensional sub-blocks generated in the previous operation, using a four-dimensional transform; quantizing by bit-planes the sub-blocks transformed by the four-dimensional transform according to Rate-Distortion optimized hexadeca-tree structure; and encoding the four-dimensional quantized data generated through an arithmetic encoder to produce a compressed representation of the light field.

A multimodal and real-time method for filtering sensitive content, receiving as input a digital video stream, the method including segmenting digital video into video fragments along the video timeline; extracting features containing significant information from the digital video input on sensitive media; reducing the semantic difference between each of the low-level video features, and the high-level sensitive concept; classifying the video fragments, generating a high-level label (positive or negative), with a confidence score for each fragment representation; performing high-level fusion to properly match the possible high-level labels and confidence scores for each fragment; and predicting the sensitive time by combining the labels of the fragments along the video timeline, indicating the moments when the content becomes sensitive.

Multimodal and real-time method for filtering sensitive media

The present invention relates to a method which aims to improve data security in mobile payment transactions. To achieve this goal, we propose a highly secure method for transactions validation through video encryption and a new view of secrecy based on the combination of encrypted video () and a transparent safe card () with unique secret pattern (). This safe card () is shown as a translucent or transparent device capable of acting as 'layer' or decoding mask using visual cryptography techniques. The composition of such images and videos takes into account the similarity of objects in the same category to encode them more effectively, providing savings in terms of time transmission and storage. Transmission time is less advantage to such a system in terms of efficiency, while less low cost storage means for storing data.
