Wand for determining drug test result

A transparent plastic slide for microscopic examination of fluids with at least one grid defined on the floor portion of the slide. The grid consisting of lines rising symmetrically from the floor portion of the slide with a line width of from about 0.05 to 0.005 mm. The lines defining enclosed areas, in which particles suspended in sample fluids can be counted. The sizes of enclosed areas being selected to be within the field of view for microscopic examination.

Patterned plastic optical components

A method of forming an eroded pattern on a metal part using Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) comprising: forming a pattern of electrodes on the end of a piece of electrode material by using wire EDM, the pattern of electrodes being the pattern to be eroded on the metal part or being a portion of the pattern; and mounting the metal part for EDM with the pattern of electrodes being mounted for use as electrodes and the erosion of the pattern or portion of the pattern provided by the pattern of electrodes by EDM in the metal part.

Examination slide grid system

A microscope inspection slide including at least one examination chamber formed by bonding together a base plate and a cover plate. The base plate having a chamber floor surface raised above a deck surface on the base plate, and the cover plate having a roof surface with a depth control ridge positioned about a portion of the edge of the chamber roof surface. Bonding the cover plate to the base plate forms an examination chamber with the distance between the roof surface and floor surface maintained constant, and entrapped gases and excess fluid allowed to drain from the examination chamber through notches in the depth control ridge.

Microscope inspection slide

An apparatus for preparing a sample of liquid for examination and analysis. The apparatus includes a tube closed at one end and open at the other, and a pipette dimensioned for insertion into the tube. The pipette has a sealing surface which is slightly smaller in diameter than the inside diameter of the tube. Protruding from the sealing surface is a rib which is aligned along the longitudinal axes of the pipette and which engages a portion of the inside wall of the tube to maintain the pipette in the tube.
