A system includes a first structure configured to be coupled to a tubular string extending to a seafloor, whereby the first structure comprises a drill floor. The system further includes a second structure configured to provide a lateral force to the first structure while allowing for vertical movement between the first structure and the second structure relative to the seafloor.

Compensated drill floor

A device includes a first cavity sized to hold a first cassette of tubulars, a second cavity sized to hold a second cassette of tubulars, and a first lifting mechanism disposed in the first cavity. The first lifting mechanism when in operation lifts the first cassette of tubulars from a horizontal orientation to a vertical orientation with respect to a drill floor. The device also includes a second lifting mechanism disposed in the second cavity, wherein the second lifting mechanism when in operation lifts the second cassette of tubulars from the horizontal orientation to the vertical orientation and a drive mechanism that when in operation rotates the device by a predetermined amount to dispose the first cavity in a region directly proximate to the drill floor.

Lift and turning device

Techniques and systems to remove a portion of a drill floor from an offshore vessel. The drill floor may include an immovable section comprising a first portion of a surface area of the drill floor. The drill floor may also include a moveable section comprising a second portion of the surface area of the drill floor. Additionally, the drill floor may include an actuator configured to retract the moveable section from a first position to a second position to remove the second portion of the surface area of the drill floor.

Removable drill floor

Techniques and systems to reduce movement of at least one portion of an offshore platform. One portion of the offshore platform can provide a connection to a seafloor. A second portion of the offshore platform provides a lateral force to the first portion of the offshore platform while allowing for vertical movement between the first portion and the second portion of the offshore platform.

Floating structure

Techniques and systems to store and deploy a lift frame of an offshore vessel. A device may include a member arm comprising a locking feature configured to couple the member arm to a lift frame of the offshore vessel. The device may also include a base configured to be coupled to a drill floor of the offshore vessel, wherein the base comprises a joint configured to allow for rotation of the member arm and the lift frame from a storage position having a first angle between the member arm and the drill floor and a deployment position having a second angle between the member arm and the drill floor.

Lift frame storage and deployment

An offshore support system comprises an offshore structure having a platform supported by one or more legs. The system further comprises a mat structure having a mat, and a clamp configured engage at least one leg of the offshore structure. The clamp is movable into and out of engagement with the leg to connect and release the mat to and from the offshore structure.
