An exterior lamp for an aircraft including a housing defining an interior volume, a heat source disposed within the interior volume of the housing, a light source disposed within the housing configured to emit a light therefrom, a protective lens coupled to the housing proximate the light source, wherein the protective lens is configured to transmit the light, and a capillary transport apparatus having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is coupled to the heat source and the second end is disposed in a catchment basin.

Systems and methods for mitigating condensation in aircraft lighting

A light assembly includes a base, an annular reflector, and a retainer. The base includes one or more light sources mounted thereto. The annular reflector comprises a first radially outward surface and a first radially inward surface. The annular reflector also defines a central longitudinal axis, with the first radially outward surface including a reflective surface. The retainer is coupled to the base and comprises a second radially outward surface. The second radially outward surface of the retainer seats against the first radially inward surface of the annular reflector to retain the annular reflector in a desired position relative to the light source mounted to the base, according to various embodiments.

Anti-collision light assembly

An end of life detection system for an anti-collision light may comprise a reflector and a plurality of LEDs located around an exterior of the reflector. A trend LED and reference LED may be located in an interior of the reflector. The trend LED may be powered on with plurality of LEDs. The reference LED may be powered on during an initial power-on self-check and turned off after completion of the initial power-on self-check.

End of life detection system for aircraft anti-collision light

A mining shovel includes a dipper assembly comprising a dipper arm coupled to a dipper, a boom assembly configured to support the dipper assembly, and an overcrowd prevention system including one or more sensors configured to monitor an axial force. The mining shovel also includes a swing abuse prevention system, including one or more sensors configured to monitor one or more compound loading forces, and one or more sensors configured to monitor a torsion loading force. The mining shovel also includes a control module configured to receive signals from the sensors, and to control at least the crowding force applied to the dipper.
