A heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) includes: a plurality of vertically-aligned HRSG tubes; and a plurality of stepped tube restraints coupled to the plurality of vertically aligned HRSG tubes. Each stepped tube restraint includes a plurality of tube restraints. The plurality of tube restraints are arranged in an array such that each successive tube restrain is vertically higher than and axially aft of an adjacent tube restraint.

Hinged baffle assemblies for heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) are disclosed. The baffle assemblies may include a baffle plate for directing exhaust fluid through a casing of the HRSG. The baffle plate may include first and second ends, a first surface exposed to the exhaust fluid flowing through the casing, and a second surface opposite the first surface. The baffle assemblies may also include a hinge component coupled to the first end of the baffle plate and positioned within/fixed relative to the casing. Additionally, the baffle assemblies may include a first diverter plate positioned adjacent to the second end of the baffle plate. The first diverter plate may directly contact the first surface of the baffle plate and may aid in directing the exhaust fluid through the casing of the HRSG.

Hinged baffle assembly for heat recovery steam generator

Heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) including components and systems for reducing thermal stress experienced by manifolds within the HRSGs are disclosed. The HRSG may include a manifold receiving a working fluid of the HRSG, a plurality of piping links in fluid communication with the manifold, and an enclosure surrounding the manifold and the plurality of piping links. The HRSG may also include at least one thermal element positioned within the enclosure. The thermal element(s) may surround the manifold. Additionally, or alternatively, the HRSG may include a supplemental heating system in fluid communication with an interior of the enclosure. The supplemental heating system may include a heater for heating fluid (e.g., air), and an inlet conduit in fluid communication with and positioned downstream of the heater. The inlet conduit may be formed through the enclosure to provide the heated fluid to the interior of the enclosure.

Components and systems for reducing thermal stress of heat recovery steam generators in combined cycle power plant systems

This disclosure provides flow components, methods of additive manufacture, and output manifolds for heat recovery steam generators incorporating flow components. A flow component may include an annular wall that defines a flow path for a fluid. The annular wall may have a normative region and a stress region. The annular wall in the stress region may include a continuous skin to form a portion of the interior wall surface and an additive manufactured mesh adjacent to the continuous skin to the interior of the annular wall. The annular wall in the normative region may have a cross-section with a different structure than the stress region.

Additive manufactured flow components with stress-resistant structures

Heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) including bypass conduits for reducing fatigue and/or stress experienced by components within the HRSGs are disclosed. The HRSG may include a steam generator module generating steam, and a first superheater module positioned downstream of the steam generator module. The first superheater module may receive the steam generated by the steam generator module. The HRSG may also include a second superheater module positioned downstream from the first superheater module, and a bypass conduit for receiving a portion of the steam generated by the steam generator module. The bypass conduit may include an inlet positioned downstream of the steam generator module, and an outlet positioned downstream of the first superheater module. Additionally, the HRSG may include a valve in fluid communication with the bypass conduit to provide steam to the outlet of the bypass conduit.

This disclosure provides manifolds, manifold components, and heat recover steam generator systems. An output line of an output manifold is fluidically connected to at least one downstream process. A first collection line is fluidically connected to a plurality of header lines by a first set of header links. A second collection line is fluidically connected to the plurality of header lines by a second set of header links. A connecting junction fluidically connects the first collection line and the second collection line to the output line.

Output manifold for heat recovery steam generations

A system includes a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) configured to generate steam from a supply of feed water using exhaust gases. The HRSG includes a heater configured to receive a supply of steam and further heat the steam. The heater includes a first manifold and a first set of branch connections circumferentially spaced about a first circumferential axis of the first manifold. Each of the branch connections routes a fluid jet of steam into a lumen of the first manifold.

Systems and methods for reducing thermal stress in pressure vessels

Disclosed herein is a heat recovery steam generator system comprising a vestibule comprising a base plate, a roof and side walls; where the base plate is opposedly disposed to the roof; a heat exchanger space through which an exhaust gas stream is charged; where the vestibule is disposed atop a heat exchanger space; and where the vestibule comprises at least one header in fluid communication with a tube bundle; where a portion of the tube bundle is disposed in the heat exchanger space; and a support system for the tube bundle; where the support system comprises a strap that is reversibly attached to the base plate as well as to the roof of the vestibule or to a structural member in the vestibule; and where each tube of the tube bundle contacts a collar that rests on the base plate.
