An external watch control device () including a crown () carrying a first barrel () screwed onto a tube (), coaxially guiding a second barrel () includes a driver (), the first barrel () and the second barrel () including opposing unidirectional toothing (), the tube () containing a spring () tending to move the first barrel () away from the driver (), the unidirectional toothing () are at maximum distance when the crown () is completely screwed onto the tube (), and in meshing position when the crown () is completely unscrewed, the cooperation between the unidirectional toothing () allowing the rotation of the first barrel () in a first single direction of rotation of the crown (), and preventing it in the opposite direction against the spring () in the manner of a pawl.

External control mechanism for a timepiece

A timepiece incudes a crown () housed in a cavity () provided in the case and open towards the outside, such as a cavity () in the side wall of the case () of a wristwatch, in the rest position of the crown (). To bring the crown out of its rest position, the user rotates a rotary knurling-roller (). The knurling-roller () is coupled to a tube () wherein is inserted a crown body () integral with the crown. The rotation of the knurling-roller actuates rotation as well as translation of the tube, which is linked only in translation to said cylinder (). The tube displaces the crown in an axial direction without rotating the crown around its central axis (). At least one control position of the crown and the rod can be reached, by rotating the knurling-roller () without having to manually pull the crown outwards.
