A seed treater having upper and lower ends includes a mixing bowl. The mixing bowl includes a stator having an annular upper inner surface defining an upper portion of the open interior of the mixing bowl, and a rotor defining a lower portion of the open interior of the mixing bowl. An air duct is fluidly connected to the mixing bowl and is configured to be fluidly connected to an air mover. The air duct includes a duct outlet configured to direct forced air from the air mover into the upper portion of the open interior defined by the upper stator to direct the seeds flowing in the upper portion of the interior of the mixing bowl inward toward a generally vertical axis of the mixing bowl as the lower rotor rotates relative to the upper stator.

Seed treater

A seed treater includes a baffle which includes a fin that is selectively movable to adjust an extent to which the fin extends into a mixing chamber during mixing of seeds and a seed treatment within the mixing chamber to facilitate mixing of the seeds and the seed treatment within the mixing chamber. The fin defines an internal flow passage configured to deliver forced fluid through the fin and into the mixing chamber.

Seed treater with baffles and method of treating seeds using same

The present invention is directed to seed oil compositions that can be used for cooking and frying applications. These oil compositions of the present invention have advantageous stability characteristics. In some embodiments, the oil compositions have a low concentration of &#x3b1;-linolenic acid.

The present invention is directed to processes for preparing oil compositions having a high concentration of poly-unsaturated fatty acids and oil compositions having a low concentration of &#x3b1;-linolenic acid. In addition, the present invention is directed to processes for preparing oil compositions having advantageous stability characteristics.

Processes for preparation of oil compositions

Oil compositions having a high concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids are described for use in various applications including use as drying oils, in ink compositions and coating compositions. Oil compositions wherein the double bonds of the fatty acids are substantially epoxidized are described and used as plasticizers and thermal stabilizers for various halogenated polymer compositions.

Use of oils with high concentrations of polyunsaturated fatty acids in plastics and surface coatings

The present invention is directed to oil compositions having a high concentration of poly-unsaturated fatty acids. In addition, the oils of the present invention have advantageous stability characteristics and minimal trans-fatty acids.
