According to a first aspect, the invention relates to an optical security component intended to be observed in reflection, with the naked eye, according to face of observation. It comprises a first layer made of dielectric material, having a first refractive index (n), at least one first diffractive structure (S, S) etched on said first layer. The first diffractive structure comprises a first pattern with at least one set of modules disposed side-by-side, in a given direction (X) of arrangement, a maximum width (l) of each module defined in the direction of arrangement (X) being less than 300 &#x3bc;m. Each module comprises a bas-relief with a first set of facets whose forms are determined to simulate an optical element visible in reflection, with at least one convex or concave region, said optical element having a profile with a continuously variable slope in a single direction (Y), said direction of variation of the slope, at right angles to the direction of arrangement (X). For two modules side-by-side, the slope along at least one line parallel to the direction (X) of arrangement is different between said two modules.

According to one aspect, the invention relates to an optical security component intended for being observed under direct reflection. According to one aspect, the invention relates to a customizable document for producing a customized security document (). The customizable document includes, according to an alternative: a layer () which can be customized by contact-free writing an opaque customization mask that is transparent in at least one transparency area (); a first multilayer film () arranged on a first side of the customizable layer (), including a layer having a high refractive index and encapsulated between two layers having a low refractive index, and structured over at least a portion of the surface thereof such as to form a first subwavelength array, characterized by a first array vector, such that the first multilayer film acts at zero order as a wavelength subtractive filter; a second multilayer film () arranged on a second side of the customizable layer, opposite the first side, including a layer having a high refractive index and encapsulated between two layers having a low refractive index, and structured over at least a portion of the surface thereof such as to form a second subwavelength array characterized by a second array vector, such that the second multilayer film acts at zero order as a wavelength subtractive filter, the first and second arrays being at least partially stacked.

An optical security component intended to be checked in reflection in a checking spectral band includes a layer that is reflective in the checking spectral band. The layer exhibits a structured zone that includes microstructures distributed spatially in a uniform manner over a whole of the structured zone so as to form an optical structure that is at least partially scattering in the checking spectral band. The microstructures have heights that are distributed according to a random function, modulated over the structured zone by a modulation function so as to form, after illumination of the optical security component at a given angle, an image identifiable by observation in reflection.

An optical authentication component visible in reflection having a structure imprinted on a substrate of index n, a thin layer, made of a dielectric material having a refractive index n, deposited on the structure, and a layer made of a material having an index nsimilar to n, encapsulating the structure coated with the thin layer, is disclosed. The structure has a first pattern modulated by a second pattern, the first pattern is a bas-relief with an array of facets, having shapes which are defined to simulate an image in relief of an object in relief, and the second pattern is a periodic grating that modulates the first pattern which produces, after the thin layer has been deposited and the structure has been encapsulated, a first color at a first viewing angle and a different second color at a second viewing angle, obtained by azimuthal rotation of the component.
