The bed frame () comprises a first and a second transverse element (), made of metal having a box shape, respectively arranged close to the headboard () and the front head () of the bed (L), mutually connected by a pair of longitudinal elements (). Said first and second transverse elements () support bed joineries (), arranged inside the aforementioned longitudinal elements (), suitable to act as spacers to support a bed base () on which the mattress (M) of the bed (L) itself is placed. By appropriately calibrating the height of the bed joineries (), which are interchangeable, according to the greater or lesser thickness of the mattress (M), it is obtained that the height from the ground of the upper horizontal side () of the latter, as well as its protrusion with respect to the upper edges of the longitudinal elements, are almost constant.

A cushion () whose configuration can be varied is constituted by a cushion element () inside which there is a fixed frame (), which covers a lower section () of said cushion element (), and two movable frames (A), (B), symmetrical, hinged above said fixed frame () and adapted to be comprised within an upper section () of the cushion element () itself. The movable frames (A), (B) can swing up to 180&#xb0; independently of one another, for aligning a respective portion (A), (B) of said upper section () from an external horizontal position (HE) to an internal horizontal position (HI), passing through a vertical neutral position (N) in which the same portion (A), (B) is substantially aligned with said lower section (). In a sofa (D) or an armchair (P) in which the backrest () and the armrests () are defined by respective cushions (), many possible configurations of the same are possible, in order to offer maximum seating comfort.
