A system for incorporating predictive health data into a mission timeline receives a predictive health event, identifies a time frame for the event, and incorporates the event into a mission timeline. The event may define a probability window with weighted probabilities overlaid onto the mission timeline. The event may define an uncorrected outcome. The uncorrected outcome is rendered onto the mission timeline at a point when the uncorrected outcome will likely occur if no remedial action is taken.

Visualization of predictive health monitoring

An aircraft-based runway overrun awareness alerting system (ROAAS) for an aircraft primary flight display (PFD) is disclosed. In embodiments, the ROAAS is embodied aboard an aircraft and tracks trends in the aircraft position and heading. Further, the ROAAS tracks the trending energy state of the aircraft on approach to a runway. Based on the current energy state, as well as the runway parameters, the ROAAS predicts a landing point for the aircraft along the runway as a trend based on the evolving energy state and position of the aircraft. Based on the landing point trend, as well as the energy state, the ROAAS determines the current likelihood of runway excursion as an evolving trend (e.g., that the aircraft will not have sufficient runway remaining to decelerate or stop) and displays this likelihood as a dynamic graphic element not integrated into any other instruments or components displayed by the PFD.

Runway overrun awareness alerting system with trending indicator

A formation monitoring system for a plurality of aircraft flying in formation is disclosed. The system includes a display for a leader aircraft configured to display a current position of one or more aircraft of the plurality of aircraft. The system further includes a controller for the leader aircraft configured to at least one of receive a current position signal from one or more aircraft of the plurality of aircraft, calculate the current position of the one or more aircraft of the plurality of aircraft, or calculate a target position of the one or more aircraft of the plurality of aircraft. The system further includes a transmitter configured to transmit the target position signal to the one or more aircraft of the plurality of aircraft.

Runway overrun awareness alerting system with discrete indicator

A system and method for generation and display of a dynamic looming ball deviation symbology (DLBDS) to a pilot receives inputs from a plurality of sources and displays a single source 3D deviation indicator to limit a scan requirement of a pilot. The system generates and displays the DLBDS relative to an ownship flight path marker intuitively useful to indicate each of a lateral deviation, a vertical deviation, and a longitudinal deviation relative to a desired object or position relative to the desired object. The DLBDS is displayed relative to the ownship aircraft and indicates deviation to be corrected to position the aircraft at the desired position relative to the object.
