A cross-neutralizing monoclonal antibody that specifically recognizes a cross-reactive epitope of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) antigen structure of, which is an O3b epitope, cross-reacting with an O3a epitope and an O3 epitope, wherein the antibody is characterized by specific CDR sequences or VH and VL sequences.
