Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to user equipment (UE) reporting for a rake receiver configuration and setting transmission parameters. The UE receives, from a network entity, a request to provide a report indicative of one or more capability parameters associated with a rake receiver of the UE. The UE transmits, to the network entity, the report based on the one or more capability parameters. The UE receives from the network entity, signaling indicating a configuration to be applied to the rake receiver based at least in part on the report.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, a supported channel latency indication that indicates a supported channel latency for time domain equalization by the UE. The UE may receive, from the network node, a downlink communication based at least in part on the supported channel latency indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

User equipment time domain equalization capability reporting

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, a capability message indicating a capability of the UE to report a cyclic shift for a reference signal. The UE may receive an indication of a reporting configuration from the network entity indicating uplink resources for reporting the cyclic shift by the UE, and the UE may receive one or more reference signals from the network entity. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to the network entity and using the uplink resources, an uplink message indicating the cyclic shift. The UE may estimate the cyclic shift based on measuring a channel delay spread of the one or more reference signals, a phase noise mask of the one or more reference signals, or both.
