Valve assembly, brake system and method for operating a valve assembly

A valve for adjusting a fluid flow includes a valve cartridge with at least one first fluid opening, at least one second fluid opening, a preliminary stage with a first valve seat and a first closing element, and a main stage with a second valve seat and a second closing element. The first valve seat is at a first axial through-opening of the second closing element, which is at least partly in a preliminary stage sleeve. The first valve seat is within the preliminary stage sleeve, and a flow path from the at least one first fluid opening to the preliminary stage leads through at least one inflow opening, which is radially introduced in the preliminary stage sleeve. An axial filter gap formed between an actuation element and the preliminary stage sleeve overlaps the at least one inflow opening at least in some regions and together form a filter.

Valve for adjusting a fluid flow

A device for controlling a solenoid valve that controls the through-flow of a medium in a closed-loop manner includes a control procedure implemented by the device. The control procedure is configured at least in regions as a ramp function. The ramp starts with a ramp start current intensity that is less than an opening start current intensity of the valve at which the valve starts to open. The ramp ends with a ramp end current intensity that is greater than an opening end current intensity at which the valve is fully open. The device is configured to one or more of determine and adjust an amount of the ramp start current intensity in dependence upon a pressure. The amount determined and/or adjusted takes into consideration a pressure of the medium against which the solenoid valve opens.

Device for controlling a solenoid valve

A method is described for determining a control signal for a controllable pressure medium control valve of an electronically slip-controllable power braking system. The underlying power braking system is equipped with an actuating unit including a displaceable actuating element, the displacement of the actuating element determining a throughput of pressure medium through the pressure medium control valve. In the opened state, the pressure medium flowing through the pressure medium control valve causes flow forces on a valve closing element. Under certain circumstances, these flow forces have a closing effect on the valve closing element, thus throttling the possible pressure medium throughput, and cause undesirably high pressure differences in the interior of the pressure medium control valve. To avoid these effects, it is provided that the pressure medium control valve be controlled using a control signal dependent on the speed of an actuation of the actuating element.

A method for actuating at least one solenoid valve includes detecting a valve actuation signal, energizing the at least one solenoid valve with a specific constant control current for a specific actuation time which follows the detection of the valve actuation signal, and increasing the control current to a full actuation current for a full actuation time which follows the actuation time. The specific constant control current and the actuation time are dimensioned in such a way that at least two different types of solenoid valves can be at least partially opened by the control current during the actuation time.

A pressure medium unit, in particular for setting and/or regulating a brake pressure in a vehicle brake system having electronic slip regulation, and to a cap-shaped filter element. Pressure medium units are equipped with a housing block having a duct formed therein that conducts pressure medium, a control element that controls a cross-section of the duct, and a filter element assigned to the control element and fixed in the interior of the duct. According to the present system, the filter element is formed in the shape of a cap, and has on its outer circumference a radially protruding fixing segment having an elastically deformable cross-section. A fixing segment realized in this manner compensates differences in expansion between the components caused by changes in temperature, prevents play at the filter element, and provides a particularly good filter effect.

A method for actuating an electromagnetic valve in a fluid system includes, for a specified first time period, a switching current with a specified first amplitude is applied, the switching current switching the electromagnetic valve from a rest state into a switching state. After the specified first time period expires, a holding current with a specified second amplitude is applied, the holding current holding the electromagnetic valve in the switching state. The first amplitude of the first switching current is greater than the second amplitude of the holding current.

Method for actuating an electromagnetic valve, and corresponding fluid system

The disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for driving a solenoid valve. The apparatus comprises a PWM apparatus, an evaluation and control unit, and a current measuring apparatus The evaluation and control unit is configured to: in a test operation, generate and emit test PWM signals having test duty ratios, the test PWM signals inducing test currents through a magnet assembly of the solenoid valve that are below a response threshold that triggers a switching process of the solenoid valve; derive presently prevailing ambient conditions of the test operation from the test PWM signals and the induced test currents; and in a normal operation generate and emit a PWM signal based on the presently prevailing ambient conditions of the test operation, the PWM signal inducing a current that is above the response threshold and switches the solenoid valve.

Apparatus and method for driving a solenoid valve

An electromagnetically actuatable valve for brake systems in motor vehicles, comprises a hydraulic part and an electric part. The valve is partially placed inside a valve block, in which an inlet borehole and an outlet borehole for a hydraulic fluid are made. The hydraulic part comprises a valve element inside of which a transversal borehole is made that communicates with the inlet borehole. In addition, a number of longitudinal boreholes, which are connected to the outlet borehole, are made in the valve element. The transversal borehole and the longitudinal boreholes are connected via a closing element. The valve enables a controlled opening and closing of the closing element thereby making a low-noise switching of the valve possible.
