The invention relates to a sample chamber for testing samples, comprising a bottom plate and a cover plate connected thereto, a sample reservoir for receiving a liquid and/or a sample to be tested, and a contact electrode which is arranged entirely in the bottom plate, in the cover plate or between the bottom plate and the cover plate and which is electrically conductively connected to a conductor element or semiconductor element disposed in and/or on the sample chamber, wherein the bottom plate and/or the cover plate are designed in such a way that an electrical contact with the contact electrode can be established from the outside in such a way that an electrically conductive connection to the conductor element or to the semiconductor element can be established from the outside through the bottom plate or through the cover plate via the contact electrode.

Sample chamber

The invention relates to polymer substrates which are provided with fluorescence features and in which photochemical fluorescence features, i.e. fluorescent structures, are produced by UV irradiation. Thus, fluorophores can be produced in polymer substrates with a low inherent fluorescence by means of suitable UV radiation, which fluorophores display a marked and detectable emission upon being excited with light of a suitable wavelength. If such an irradiation is implemented in a structured manner, emission patterns can be produced in this way in polymer substrates, which emission patterns can be applied for example as recovery grids in fluorescence microscopy. A further application field relates to product authentication which is made possible by the polymer substrates according to the invention provided with fluorescence features.

The invention comprises a method of manufacturing a sample chamber, comprising the steps of: providing a first () and a second () component, the first component () comprising an elastomer; treating the elastomer in the region of a contact surface of the first component () and/or treating a contact surface of the second component () with a plasma, with plasma waste gas, and/or with a reactive gas; and connecting the contact surface of the first component () with the contact surface of the second component ().
