An apparatus and method for handling a container, comprising filling the container with a filling product, for example with a beverage in a beverage bottling plant, wherein the apparatus has: a valve main body with an outlet for introducing the filling product into the container and with a swirl chamber which is fluidically connected to the outlet and is configured to induce a swirling motion in the filling product as the latter is being introduced into the container; a valve cone which is at least partially arranged in the valve body, defines an axial direction and through which a gas duct penetrates in the axial direction; and a sensor device with a sensor head which is configured to detect at least one signal and is arranged in the gas duct.

A filling valve for filling a container with a filling product, e.g., a beverage in a beverage filling system, includes a valve base body. The valve base body includes an outlet configured to discharge the filling product into the container; a swirl chamber configured to receive the filling product and is able to be brought into a fluidic connection with the outlet; and a main inlet, which feeds into the swirl chamber and is configured to introduce at least one main component of the filling product into the swirl chamber such that the filling product is swirled in the swirl chamber, whereby after exiting from the outlet the filling product flows downwardly in a spiral movement in the container. The swirl chamber has an annular shape, the cross-sectional contour thereof having a rounded shape, substantially without corner points, in the direction of extent and perpendicular to the direction of extent.

The present disclosure relates to a device for climate control of an interior of a machine in a food and beverage industry. The device includes an air discharge system for discharging air from the interior of the machine. The air discharge system includes a first air extraction duct configured for first selective extraction of contaminated air or second selective extraction of high-temperature air or at least two separate air extraction ducts including a first air extraction duct configured for the first selective extraction of the contaminated air and a second air extraction duct configured for the second selective extraction of the high-temperature air.
