Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. that support asymmetric time division duplexing (TDD) coexistence among different operators having adjacent nodes in wireless networks. A baseline TDD configuration may be established for a set of frequency bands, that provides that uplink (UL) transmissions and downlink (DL) transmissions within a set of frequency bands are aligned and result in relatively little or no interference among different operators. An operator may determine that a TDD configuration that is different from the baseline TDD configuration may be beneficial and may select an interference mitigation procedure and communicate with one or more UEs using the interference mitigation procedure and TDD configuration that is different than the baseline TDD configuration.

Asymmetric time division duplexing coexistence techniques

Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques and apparatuses for improving reception of concurrent transmissions from different network entities. A user equipment may receive a first instance of a transmission in a first component carrier from a first network entity and also receive a second instance of the transmission in a second component carrier from a second network entity. The UE may then dynamically adjust a number of receivers used for the reception of the first component carrier and the reception of the second component carrier based on whether a receive time difference, between receipt of the first instance of the transmission and receipt of the second instance of the transmission, exceeds a maximum receive time difference (e.g., a cyclic prefix duration of the transmission).

Enhancements for non-collocated intra-band deployments

Aspects relate to exchanging beam-related information for a repeater device. A network access node may configure a repeater device to transmit multiple synchronization signal blocks using different beams. The network access node may determine the number of beams that the repeater device can use for its operations. A repeater device may indicate how many beams the repeater device supports, how many antenna arrays it has, and a mapping of beam indices to antenna array indices. A repeater device may indicate which beam pairs cannot be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups can be used for simultaneous transmission and/or reception. A network access node may determine which beam pairs the repeater device cannot use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception and/or which beam groups the repeater device can use for simultaneous transmission and/or reception based on signal measurements and/or beam configuration feedback from the repeater device.

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication at a wireless device or integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node. In one aspect, the wireless device may determine a frequency synchronization accuracy for the wireless device. The wireless device may also transmit an indication of the determined frequency synchronization accuracy for the wireless device. Additionally, the wireless device may determine an absolute frequency based on a combination of measurements from at least one synchronization source and a frequency of the wireless device, where the frequency synchronization accuracy is based on the absolute frequency.

In some embodiments, a wireless device testing apparatus may include a test chamber, an antenna within the test chamber, a rotatable positioning system within the test chamber configured to hold a wireless device and rotate the wireless device within a range of orientations with respect to the antenna, and a computing device coupled to the antenna and the rotatable positioning system.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for signaling and scheduling to enable network configured small gaps in intra-band inter-frequency measurement. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a serving cell operating on a first frequency, an indication that synchronization signal block (SSB) indexes of a target cell operating on a second frequency can be derived from timing of the serving cell; and deriving an SSB index of the target cell, based on the timing of the serving cell.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information that identifies an association between a first cell of a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second cell of a second RAT. The UE may perform a measurement for the first cell. The UE may determine that the measurement for the first cell satisfies a threshold value. The UE may perform an interference canceling operation for a reference signal of the second cell, or a de-weighting operation for one or more resource elements in which the reference signal interferes, based at least in part on the determination that the measurement for the first cell satisfies the threshold value and the association between the first cell and the second cell. Techniques for reference signal interference canceling or rate matching

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) establishing and utilizing a reference timing for a carrier or cell with multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs). A UE may receive a downlink signal on each of a plurality of component carriers (CCs), and determine respective timing events (e.g., slot boundaries, subframe boundaries, etc.) corresponding to each of the plurality of CCs. The UE may then determine a reference time for a first CC of the plurality of CCs. This reference time corresponds to a function of two or more timing events corresponding to different TRPs utilizing the first CC. The UE then determines a relative timing difference between the plurality of CCs based on this determined reference time. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described, including determining and utilizing a reference time on an uplink CC.

Reference timing for multiple transmission and reception points in multi-radio dual connectivity

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a UE capability message, the UE capability message indicating a supported transmit antenna switching (TxAS) capability for each port of the UE. The UE may receive a configuration message indicating an uplink multiple-input/multiple-output (UL MIMO) configuration for the UE, the UL MIMO configuration being based at least in part on the UE capability message. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the configuration message, a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration to use for transmitting SRSs in conjunction with the UL MIMO communications, the SRS configuration comprising a configuration for transmission by the UE of SRSs using at least one of the two or more ports of the UE, the SRSs transmitted on one or more antennas of the UE selected according to a TxAS configuration for the respective port.

Various designs for optimization of carrier aggregation (CA) capability signaling are discussed. A user equipment (UE) configured for CA determines to signal supported CA combinations that include a band, the band being one of a first band and a second band. The first band is a superset of the second band. The UE signals the supported CA combinations that include the band to the network. A base station receives a signal indicating the CA combinations supported by the UE that include the band. The base station determines CA combinations that include the first band and CA combinations that include the second band based on the CA combinations received from the UE.

Optimization of carrier aggregation capabilities for support of different bands defined in the same frequency range

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a receive time difference (RTD) between a first base station and a second base station based at least in part on the UE using a common beam to receive transmissions from the first base station and the second base station. The UE may transmit information indicating the RTD between the first base station and the second base station, wherein the transmissions from the first base station and the second base station may be scheduled based at least in part on the RTD between the first base station and the second base station. Mitigating receive time difference when using a single beam in inter-band carrier aggregation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may perform a calibration to improve the accuracy, reliability, or both of signal transmissions. The UE may determine timing for the calibration procedure based on a received identifier for the UE (e.g., a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), such as a cell RNTI (C-RNTI)). For example, the UE may determine a calibration offset between a reference time and a calibration gap according to an equation using at least the identifier as input. During the calibration gap, the UE may transmit a calibration signal using one or more antenna ports and may calibrate (e.g., adjust power amplification for) the one or more antenna ports based on an estimated actual transmit power for the calibration signal (e.g., received by other antenna ports of the UE or received by another device).
