A process for arresting the proliferation of microorganisms which convert axillary secretions into malodorous materials by treating these axillary secretions with a composition containing a compound selected from the group consisting of tripelennamine, phenindamine, hexylcaine, tetracaine, naphazoline, xylometazoline, pyrilamine and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.

Process for arresting the proliferation of organisms that convert

A composition and treatment to prevent the symptoms of skin conditions characterized by an offensive odor of the body, such as diaper rash, perspiration odor and athlete's foot. The composition contains as the active ingredient a non-toxic, high molecular weight organic polymeric acid which is not absorbed through the skin. Treatment is by topical application of a dusting powder, aerosol spray, cream or ointment containing 1 to 30% by weight of a high molecular weight organic polymeric acid such as alignic acids, Carbopol resins or other polymeric acids.

Composition for treatment and prevention of malodorous generating skin

The normal dosage of 10 grains (648 mg.) of aspirin, when combined with about 5 to 15, preferably about 10, grains of acetaminophen, yields increased blood levels of unhydrolyzed aspirin shortly and for extended periods after oral ingestion; a small addition of caffeine enables attainment of still higher blood levels of aspirin.
