Methods for removing clot material by directional aspiration may include removing clot material from a side vessel while the suction catheter remains in the main vessel. These methods may include a steerable distal end region. In some cases the apparatuses and methods may include the use of a guide catheter and/or a guidewire in orienting the suction catheter to laterally capture clot material from a side vessel without having to enter the side vessel. Any of these methods may include optionally sensing and confirming clot material (e.g., electrically sensing).

Directional aspiration

Aspiration catheters for removing clot material from a patient, systems including these catheter as well as methods of making and using these aspiration catheters may be configured to remove clot material in long, continuous strips that prevent release of smaller clot fragments back into the vessel. Also described herein are blood collection apparatuses that may allow safe and easy reperfusion of collected blood.

Aspiration apparatuses for clot removal

A method of imaging a tissue region may comprise visualizing one or more lesions in vivo over a tissue region within a body through an imaging catheter. The method may further comprise measuring a temperature or an electrical potential of the one or more lesions. The method may further comprise overlaying a gradient indicative of the temperature or the electrical potential upon a visual image of the one or more lesions captured in vivo. The method may further comprise registering ablation parameters to the visual image of the one or more lesions and displaying the visual image with the overlaid gradient and the registered ablation parameters.

A direct vision cryosurgical and methods of use are described herein where the device may generally comprise an elongated rigid structure with a distal end, a proximal end, and a central lumen. The distal end may comprise a non-coring optically transparent needle tip with at least one lateral fenestration in communication with the central lumen. The distal end may also house at least one imaging device configured for distal imaging. A proximal end of the device may comprise a handle with a means for connecting the imaging device(s) to an imaging display(s), and a means for accessing bodily tissue in the vicinity of the distal end with a cryo-ablation probe through the central lumen and the lateral fenestration(s) for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.

Direct vision cryosurgical probe and methods of use

Described here are methods and apparatuses for removing a clot material from a patient. For example, an apparatus as described herein may include a flexible elongate body having a suction lumen, a first pair of sensors (e.g., electrodes), and a controller configured to identify a clot material based on signals from the first pair of sensors.

Methods for removing a blood clot material

A tissue imaging assembly includes a steerable sheath and a steerable catheter deployable within the sheath. The tissue imaging assembly also includes an imaging hood at a distal end of the steerable catheter. The imaging hood is independently translatable with respect to the steerable sheath and the steerable catheter. The steerable catheter includes an imaging element and a lumen for delivering an elongate instrument out a distal region of the steerable catheter.

Tissue visualization and manipulation system

In vivo visualization systems are described which facilitate tissue treatment by a user in utilizing real time visualized tissue images with generated three-dimensional models of the tissue region of interest, such as the left atrial chamber of a subject's heart. Directional indicators on the visualized tissue as well as the imaging systems may be utilized while other variations may utilize image rotation or manipulation of visualized tissue regions to facilitate catheter control. Moreover, visualized tissue regions may be combined with imaged tissue regions as well as navigational information to further facilitate tissue treatments.

In-vivo visualization systems

An electrode carrier system includes one or more electrode assemblies having an electrode body. One or more tubular members extend from the electrode body and define a lumen terminating in a distal opening. The electrode assemblies carry a reservoir containing a conductive fluid or gel. The reservoir is in fluid communication with the lumens in the tubular members, and the electrode assemblies are typically supported on a backing which may optionally be configured as a headband. Systems are for tracking patient movement may be used in combination with the electrode carrier system.

The illumination tool is manipulatable with respect to the delivery catheter.

Methods and apparatus for treatment of atrial fibrillation

Systems, devices, and methods involve ablation of tissue to treat rhinitis and/or other nasal conditions. Implementations allow treatment of tissue in the confined space of the nasal cavity. Additionally, implementations allow targeted treatment tissue to be ablated, while protecting other non-treatment tissue from unintentional collateral effects that might be produced by the ablation. According to an example implementation, an approach for treating a nasal condition includes advancing a probe into a nasal cavity, the probe including a shaft and a cryotherapy element coupled to the shaft. The approach also includes cryogenically cooling a target treatment site with the cryotherapy element to treat at least one nasal nerve. Additionally, the approach includes transmitting a focused ultrasound beam to a target heating site to increase a temperature tissue at the target heating site.

Systems, devices, and methods for treatment of nasal disorders

Described herein are methods and apparatuses for identifying a clot material in contact with a suction catheter. For example, an apparatus as described herein may include a flexible elongate body having a suction lumen, and an aspiration opening sensor comprising at least two electrodes, and a controller configured to distinguish between clot and blood based on an impedance signal between the two or more electrodes.

Apparatuses and method for determining if a catheter is engaged with a blood clot

Apparatus and methods for treating conditions such as rhinitis are disclosed herein where a distal end of a probe shaft is introduced through the nasal cavity where the distal end has an end effector with a first configuration having a low-profile which is shaped to manipulate tissue within the nasal cavity. The distal end may be positioned into proximity of a tissue region having a post nasal nerve associated with a middle or inferior nasal turbinate. Once suitably positioned, the distal end may be reconfigured from the first configuration to a second configuration which is shaped to contact and follow the tissue region and the post nasal nerve may then be ablated via the distal end. Ablation may be performed using various mechanisms, such as cryotherapy, and optionally under direct visualization.

Apparatus and methods for treating rhinitis

The invention disclosed here generally relates to devices used to identify the location of a never in order to modify a property of the nerve. Specifically, the invention utilized pre-operative scans of a patient's nasal cavity in order to identify target treatment locations when a nerve to be treated is located. The image of the nasal cavity and target treatment location can be registered with the real time position of the nasal cavity using a surgical navigation system in order to assist in guiding a surgical probe to the target treatment location.

Apparatuses and methods for distinguishing a blood clot from a vessel wall.
