An electrokinetic delivery or diagnostic device for personal use and self-administration of a medicament to a treatment site is provided. The device includes a housing containing a power supply, a first active electrode and a ground tactile electrode. An applicator includes a pad for containing medicament for overlying the first electrode of the device. The medicament may be applied by the user to the pad, contained within the pad or contained in rupturable capsules within the pad, together with a hydrogel if necessary for imparting electrical conductivity whereby, upon application of the applicator to the treatment site, the medicament is electrokinetically transported into the treatment site. In another form, the applicator is self-contained, having a power supply, a first electrode overlying a pad and a ground electrode from the opposite side from the pad whereby the individual presses the pad against the treatment site to complete the electrical circuit and electrokinetically drive the medicament into the treatment site.

A foldable support rack having a body member, four hinge portions that are preferably living hinges, tabs extending from opposed ends of the body member, and holes in the body member for engaging the tabs. Additional holes in the body member are dimensioned for receiving articles for support by the rack. The rack is foldable from a first extended position to a second supporting position, forming two portions with triangular cross sections.

A blister package for storing an array of oral hygiene applicators, each formed from a circular base having bristles anchored thereon which are impregnated with a dentifrice. The underside of the base is coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive whereby when the applicator is adhered to a fingertip of a user, it then functions as a toothbrush. The package includes a card of synthetic plastic film material molded to define an array of blisters. Sealed to the card is a backing sheet having an array of applicators releasably adhered thereto, each applicator being nested in a respective blister in the card. The package is divided by lines of perforation into separable cells, each enclosing an applicator. In use, a cell is separated from the package, its backing sheet is peeled off to expose the applicator, and the applicator is then detached from the sheet and applied to a finger tip of the user.

A disposable oral hygiene applicator attachable to the ball of a user's fingertip whose finger then functions as an articulated handle by which the applicator may be inserted in the oral cavity and applied omnidirectionally to the teeth and gingival tissues to sweep and clean the teeth and to massage the gums. The applicator includes a circular flexible base dimensioned to cover mainly the round ball of the fingertip, the underside of the base having a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive thereon. Anchored on the base and projecting upwardly therefrom is a dense array of multi-strand filamentary loops that form the bristles of a miniature brush, a charge of viscous dentifrice being entrapped in the loops. In one preferred embodiment of the applicator, adhering to the layer on the underside of the base is a removable carrier disc whose diameter exceeds that of the base to define a peripheral flange to facilitate removal of the disc so that the applicator may then be adhered to the fingertip.

The invention is directed to a combined display and shipping package which has two major components, an outer sleeve and an inner shell arranged for telescoping engagement with one another. The outer sleeve covers and provides protection for the inner shell during shipment and is slid back over the inner shell in a telescoping manner to permit visual display of an item to be displayed without the full removal of the protective outer sleeve which may or may not have advertising or display information on it. The inner shell has an inclined base so that when the package is used for display purposes, it maintains an inclined position to project the display item into full view of a prospective customer. To prevent the display package from tipping, the item displayed therein is secured in the package in a manner so that the combined centers of gravity for the item displayed and the display package is located to prevent tipping of the package without the need of additional support.
