A method comprises forming a grid provided with a plurality of macro nodes. The grid comprises a plurality of meandering electrically conductive circuit paths through the plurality of macro nodes. The method comprises identifying a candidate macro node in the grid which includes only parallel micro node segments and selecting the candidate macro node. The method includes re-arranging the parallel micro node segments of the plurality of micro node meandering electrically conductive circuit paths in the candidate macro node of the grid such that at least one micro node segment is changed electrically to a non-parallel micro node segment in relation to other micro node segments in the candidate macro node to generate data representative of re-arranged meandering electrically conductive circuit paths for the grid. The method includes forming the re-arranged meandering electrically conductive circuit paths for the grid. A computing device and a computer program product for performing the method are also provided.

Pseudo-random circuit re-arranger system, method and computer program product

Mechanisms for generating circuit paths are disclosed. A computing device obtains a nodal list that identifies a grid of nodes that is referenced to an area and that uniformly covers at least a portion of the area at a predetermined density. The computing device modifies the nodal list to identify a circuit path from a start node through a succession of neighbor nodes to an end node based on a waypoint list. For each of a plurality of iterations the computing device performs a bubble operation that includes identifying a first pair of nodes that are successive nodes in the circuit path and that are adjacent to a second pair of nodes out of the circuit path, and altering the circuit path to make the second pair of nodes part of the circuit path, such that the first pair of nodes are no longer successive nodes in the circuit path.

This document relates to systems and method for latent fingerprint detection using specular reflection (glare). An exemplary system may include a light source alignment portion configured to align a light source at an illumination angle relative to a sample surface such that the light source illuminates a sample surface so that the surface produces specular reflection. The system may also include a specular reflection discriminator that directs the produced specular reflection to an optical detector aligned relative to said sample surface at an alignment angle that is substantially equal to an angle of reflection of the produced specular reflection. Preferably, the directed specular reflection does not saturate the optical detector; and the optical detector captures the specular reflection from the sample surface and generates image data using essentially only the specular reflection.

Latent fingerprint detectors and fingerprint scanners therefrom

Mechanisms for generating a micro node circuit path are disclosed. A first nodal list is generated that identifies a grid of macro nodes at a first resolution that is referenced to an area. The first nodal list is modified to identify a reference macro node circuit path through the grid of macro nodes. A second nodal list is generated that identifies a grid of micro nodes that is referenced to the area at a second resolution that is a greater resolution than the first resolution. The second nodal list is modified to identify at least one derived micro node circuit path that extends through a plurality of the micro nodes based on an offset with respect to the reference macro node circuit path.

This document relates to systems and method for latent fingerprint detection using specular reflection (glare). An exemplary system may include a light source alignment portion configured to align a light source at an illumination angle relative to a sample surface such that the light source illuminates a sample surface so that the surface produces specular reflection. The system may also include a specular reflection discriminator that directs the produced specular refection to an optical detector aligned relative to said sample surface at an alignment angle that is substantially equal to an angle of reflection of the produced specular reflection. Preferably, the directed specular reflection does not saturate the optical detector, and the optical detector captures the specular reflection from the sample surface and generates image data using essentially only the specular reflection.

An automatic fingerprint system includes an optical sensor having a first light source that provides a collimated beam for interrogating a first sample surface, and a camera including a lens and a photodetector array having a camera field of view (FOV) large enough to image the first sample surface. The camera is critical angle positioned relative to the first light source to receive specular reflection (glare) from the first sample surface to generate image data from the glare. The first light source and camera have substantially equal and opposite numerical apertures (NAs). A computer or processor that includes reference fingerprint templates receives a digitized form of the image data, and includes data processing software for (i) comparing the image data to reference fingerprint templates to determine whether the image data includes at least one fingerprint and (ii) for generating a fingerprint image if the fingerprint is determined to be present.

A system, method and computer readable medium are disclosed for tracking motion of an object image, comprising receiving an input image; correlating the input image with a reference image by computing differences between the input image and the reference image; generating a motion vector for a subimage of the input image using a subimage metric surface; and outputting a tracking assessment of object image motion based on the motion vector.

A system, method and computer readable medium are disclosed for tracking motion of an object image, by receiving an input image and correlating the input image with a reference image by computing differences between the input image and the reference image. A motion vector is generated for a subimage of the input image using a subimage metric surface, and a tracking assessment of object image motion is output based on the motion vector.

A method and Electro-Optical (EO) system for processing imagery comprising selecting a first frame of data as a template frame; capturing a second frame of data using the EO system, for a plurality of pixels of the second frame, correlating the plurality of pixels of the second frame with pixels of the template frame to generate a plurality of shift vectors, one for each pixel of the plurality of pixels of the second frame, registering the second frame with the template frame by interpolating the second frame using the plurality of shift vectors and re-sampling at least a portion of the second frame to produce a registered frame, re-sampling the template frame, and combining the re-sampled template frame and the registered frame to generate an averaged frame.
