A sensor element for a touch switch device has a sensor element body of elastic, electrically conductive material. The sensor element body has two parallel end wall areas as the top and bottom surfaces, which are integrally connected in one piece by inwardly cambered side wall areas. Such a sensor element body can be very easily compressed. The wall thickness of the wall areas is substantially the same throughout. Such sensor elements can be constructed by forming a linear strip of such material having a cross section as described, where the strip is cut into individual pieces, thereby forming each individual sensor element.

A holder is constructed for fixing printed circuit boards like for a contact switch unit of a glass ceramic hob between a cover and a substructure receiving the circuit boards. The holder has a plurality of elastic projections distributed integrally and in an area on one side of the holder and forming a surface spring. The holder can embrace or frame and consequently receive the circuit boards. The elastic projections () can be mounted against the substructure () and detent pins () on the other side of the holder can be fitted into holes in the supported components ().

According to an embodiment of the invention, a sensor element device for a capacitive contact switch can be formed from a foam body with several portions. There are electrically conductive areas with a sensor element surface and an electrical contact face, as well as insulating areas. The sensor element surfaces engage from below on a glass ceramic plate. The areas can be interconnected in cylindrically elongated and juxtaposed manner. This leads to a type of strand material from which with the predetermined spacing it is possible to produce juxtaposed, capacitive sensor elements as parts of contact switches.

A catch thread device is provided for a sewing machine with a scanning element controlled by the upper thread in the rhythm of sewing. The scanning element triggers a signal for the operator and/or for switching off the drive of the sewing machine via an electronic control circuit in the case of a thread break. The catch thread device includes a support fastened to the housing in the sewing machine as well as a pivotable switching lever. The pivotable switching lever is pretensioned and mounted in the support and is connected to the scanning element extending into the course of the upper thread between an eye of the needle and a thread guide of a thread lever of the sewing machine. The scanning element is connected to a magnet which is arranged adjacent to a Hall IC (integrated circuit) fastened to the support wherein the Hall IC is connected via lines to the control circuit for evaluating the signals triggered by the magnet in the Hall IC during the movement of the switching element.

A pulse generator of variable-speed drives, particularly sewing machine drives having a main rotatable shaft and a housing comprising a casing defining an inner space connected to the sewing machine housing, a generator shaft rotatable and synchronous with the main shaft and mounted for rotation in the casing, a pulse disc with light-dark zones connected to the shaft and rotatable within the inner space of the casing, a light transmitting module and a light receiving module connected to the casing, the casing including bearing surfaces on either side of the disc bearing against and bearing surfaces of the shaft for supporting the pulse disc for rotation. Bearing surfaces provide a seal against stray light and dust and the like and also accurately center and support the pulse disc.
