Provided is a semi-transparent display and a method for producing a semi-transparent display. An SOI wafer is provided, the surface having at least one pixel region and at least one contact region arranged next to the pixel region, the SOI wafer comprising a silicon substrate on the rear side. At least one electromagnetic-radiation-emitting layer is deposited on the front side of the SOI wafer. At least one transparent cover layer is applied above the at least one electromagnetic-radiation-emitting layer. A wiring carrier is fastened to the assembly comprising the SOI wafer, the electromagnetic-radiation-emitting layer and the transparent cover layer. Before fastening of the wiring carrier to the assembly, the silicon substrate is removed from the assembly, producing a residual assembly, and electrically conductive connections are formed between the contact region of the SOI wafer and the wiring carrier from the rear side of the SOI wafer.

Semi-transparent display

A microdisplay comprising a light emitting OLED stack on top of a silicon-based backplane with individually addressable pixels and control circuitry wherein the light emitting OLED stack has three or more OLED units between a top electrode and a bottom electrode; and the control circuitry of the silicon-based backplane comprises at least two transistors with their channels connected in series between an external power source VDD, and the bottom electrode of the OLED stack. The light-emitting OLED stack preferably has a Vth of at least 7.5V or more. The control circuit can include a protection circuit comprised of a p-n diode, preferably a bipolar junction transistor.

A display comprising a light emitting OLED stack on top of a silicon-based backplane with individually addressable pixels and control circuitry wherein the control circuitry of the silicon-based backplane comprises at least one driving transistor where a first terminal of the driving transistor is electrically connected to an external power source VDD, and the second terminal of the driving transistor is electrically connected to the bottom electrode of the OLED stack; wherein the gate of the driving transistor is controlled by a data signal which supplied by a scan transistor controlled by a signal from select line SELECT; and the control circuitry additionally comprises a protection circuit comprising a bipolar junction transistor. There can be a switch transistor between the scan transistor and the gate of the driving transistor for microdisplay applications. The OLED stack can comprise two or more OLED light-emitting units.

The invention relates to a method for activating a photocatalytically active, for example titanium-dioxide-containing, outer layer () deposited on a composite, by means of at least one element () generating a radiation, for example for generating ultraviolet radiation. The following method steps are comprised here: •a) forming the at least one radiation-generating first element () within the composite; •b) forming at least one sensor () within the composite; •c) recording an actual value of a physical variable characterizing luminous radiation by means of the at least one sensor (), wherein the luminous radiation is emitted by a light-generating second element (); •d) comparing the recorded actual value with a first threshold value within an evaluation device and switching on the at least one radiation-generating first element () if the actual value is below or above the first threshold value.

The spatially and spectrally resolved optical detection is carried out by the detector device () and the respective capillary refill behavior is spatially and temporally determined at a time tup to which at least one first threshold value of the measurement values detected simultaneously with spatial resolution has reached the measurement value that had been optically detected before the start of the pressure effect.

A method for producing a component is provided, where the component comprises a substrate, which emits at least one electromagnetic radiation in a first wavelength range and an electromagnetic radiation in a second wavelength range within one surface area. Electrodes can be formed within the surface area of the substrate; a first layer stack can be deposited, comprising at least one layer, which causes the emission of the electromagnetic radiation in the first wavelength range, and a cover layer, acting as the first counterelectrode, on the entire surface area; the first layer stack can be removed from a first partial surface area, which comprises at least one electrode; a second layer stack can be deposited, comprising at least one layer, which causes the emission of the electromagnetic radiation in the second wavelength range, and a second cover layer, acting as the counterelectrode, on the entire surface area.

The present invention relates to a bidirectional display having a two-dimensional display array comprising a plurality of light-generating pixels and a two-dimensional camera array comprising a plurality of light-detecting elements, wherein the two arrays can each be electrically triggered line by line and are preferably interleaved in at least in some sections, featuring electrical triggering of the display array and of the camera array wherein, during light generation in a line of the display array, light detection with that line of the camera array which is closest to said line is deactivated, i.e. line-sequential electrical triggering of the bidirectional display.

The invention relates to optical arrangements which can be provided, preferably also in miniaturized form, for the most varied applications. They can be used in many sectors of life and also commercially, and indeed whenever information should be presented visually and/or optical information should be recognized and taken into account. It is the object of the invention to provide optical arrangements with which different optical information can be utilized in more complex form together in one arrangement. The optical arrangement in accordance with the invention is configured such that elements both emitting and detecting electromagnetic radiation are arranged on a common substrate or are configured thereat. A plurality of these elements are preferably present together in each case. It can, however, also be sufficient for specific applications to provide in each case an emitting or a detecting element with a plurality of the respective other elements.
