A wiper having an integrated seal, comprising at least one dynamically stressed, first sealing lip arranged in the direction of a space to be sealed, and at least one wiping lip disposed on the side facing away from the space to be sealed. The wiper having an integrated seal also includes quasi-statically stressed second, third and fourth sealing lips which are each configured to be placed against at least one counter-surface of a mounting space of the wiper with integrated seal. The second sealing lip is fluid-conductive. The third and fourth sealing lips are each configured as a pressure relief valve, and sealing lips are arranged in series.

Wiper with integrated seal

A sealing arrangement for establishing a seal between two machine elements, such as a rod or piston undergoing axial motion within a housing. A rod or piston seal is arranged in a groove of the second machine element, which typically is the housing of the rod or piston. The groove is open in the direction of the first machine element, and contains a seal ring and a prestress ring made of elastomeric material. The seal ring has an essentially T-shaped cross-section and touches the surface of the first machine element which is to be sealed with the sealing surface of its radial ridge, forming a seal. The prestress ring is arranged between the base of the groove and the axial ridge of the seal ring, under elastic prestress. The transition from the faces of the radial ridge to the sealing surface is rounded.

Seal arrangement

A sealing system for a circumferential gap between an inner component and a concentric outer component. The inner component moves in relation to the outer component essentially only linearly back and forth. The two components rotate together around a common axis. There is a groove around the inner component. A centrifugal seal is secured in the groove by axial resilience. An axial lip around one side of the seal rests against at least one of the groove's sides. There is at least one radial lip along the outer circumference of the seal. The centrifugal force, increasingly exerted on a hydraulic fluid as the rotation of the components accelerates, causes the seal to expand radially as well until the lip or lips along its outer circumference come into contact with the inner surface of the outer component, sealing off the gap. The axial lip and the radial lip define a diagonal plane at an angle of 15.degree. to 75.degree. to the axis of rotation.
