A device for aiding a movement a current collector trolley in and out of an elongate plastic profile of a sliding contact line accommodating current conductor rails, includes a funnel, and a sleeve embracing the elongate plastic profile in a form-fitting manner and intended to secure a rear end of the funnel to one end of the sliding contact line. The sleeve is freely movable along the elongate plastic profile before securement of the funnel and laps over the end of the elongate plastic profile when the funnel is secured in place, whereby the rear end of the funnel has a contour complementing an inner contour of the elongate plastic profile and received in form-fitting engagement in the elongate plastic profile.

Device for aiding a movement of a current collector trolley in and out of an elongate plastic profile of a sliding contact line

A current collector trolley for traveling inside a current contact line of a type having a bottom formed longitudinally with a slot and accommodating therein current conductor rails in longitudinal direction, includes a base body extending through the slot to the outside and having sliding contacts forced into contact with the conductor rails during operative mode and electrically connected outside the current contact line to a multicore collector cable. The base body is made of plastic material and has embedded therein at least one flat electric conductor extending across the base body from top to bottom and having upper and lower ends. The upper end of the conductor is positioned in proximity of one of the sliding contacts and electrically connectable thereto, and the lower end of the conductor extends downwards to project out of the base body for electric connection with a core of the collector cable.

Current collector trolley for current collector lines

An inlet power feed for longitudinally slotted current contact lines having conductor rails disposed in a longitudinal direction inside an elongated plastic profile, includes a cover defining an inlet feed region and electrically insulating the inlet feed region to the outside, with the cover receiving a power supply cable which terminates at a location above the elongate plastic profile. The power supply cable includes a plurality of cores for connection to a plurality of conductor rails in one-to-one correspondence. Electrically connecting the cores of the cable to the conductor rails are a plurality of flat junction bars, each of the junction bars connecting one core of the cable to one conductor rail and having a flat side which confronts an outer side wall of the elongate plastic profile and, at least partially, bears in flat engagement on the outer side wall, with the junction bar extending inside the cover from the conductor rail vertically upwards into the area above the elongate plastic profile.

Inlet power feed for longitudinally slotted current contact lines

A connector for coupling two contact line segments positioned in end-to-end alignment and made of elongate plastic profiles for accommodating current conductor rails which cooperate with a current collector vehicle traveling inside the contact line segments, includes a coupling sleeve made of plastic material for positively enveloping the contact line segments in an area of their confronting ends, with the ends of the contact line segments being freely shiftable in a longitudinal direction within a predetermined range. The coupling sleeve is split in a direction transversely to the longitudinal direction so as to define two sleeve members which are detachably connected to one another, wherein one of the sleeve members can be placed on one of the confronting ends of the contact line segments and the other one of the sleeve members can be placed on the other one of the confronting ends of the contact line segments, before the contact line segments are joined.

Connector for electrically coupling two current contact line segments in end-to end relationship

A support for current conductor rails at an essentially double T-shaped beam girder is welded together of two mirror-symmetrical profiles. A support, carrying the current rails, surrounds the top flange of the beam girder (1) and rests with an angled clamping face (7) at an angled holder strap (4) of the top flange. The support (6) is held by U or V-shaped clamps (12) at the holder strap (4) of the top flange. This arrangement provides for a suitable attachment possibility for current conductor rails above the bottom flange of a double T-shaped beam girder.

Support means for current conductor rails

A guided working device (1) is driven by an operable traction motor (2) for movement along a travel rail (3). The working device carries a driver (4) provided with articulated heads for a measuring carriage (5), which measuring carriage always travels the same distance as the working device (1). The measuring carriage travels on a control rail (11) and includes a measuring device (6). A plurality of sliding conductors (17) are also receivable by the control rail (11). The measuring carriage carries a preferably toothed measuring wheel about at least a circumferential portion of which a preferably toothed measuring belt is wrapped. The measuring wheel (7) is pressed, by guided wheels (8) in front of and behind the measuring wheel, against a toothed belt supporting surface which is associated with the control rail (11).

Position sensing arrangement in a working device

A joint for two electric current bus bars facing each other with one end each, includes similarly constructed sheet metal plug elements of rectangular cross section, respectively inserted in the bars, but projecting therefrom, and a U-shaped connecting element being a current conductor or an insulator clampingly engages the plug elements for interconnecting them, and having windows receiving strip like extensions of the plug element.

Bus bar joint

A holder for conductors on a rail has multiple claw pairs arranged in staggered and laterally offset relation, for minimizing the space requirement. Claws for holding adjacent conductors are aligned but separated for individual resilient deflection; several fasteners for the holder on the rail are disclosed, all providing for snap action kind of insertion.

Holding of conductors

A mounting structure is provided for mounting one or more live rails in a bank of such rails, the mounting structure providing simple means for including additional rails in the bank. The structure comprises a plurality of identical mounting halves, two of which cooperate to mount a single rail. When mounting a rail, the two cooperating halves present cooperating exposed surfaces for the joining of additional mounting halves and rails on each side thereof. Each mounting half includes identical cooperating recesses and projections which when joined together hold a rail in a mounted position. Each half also includes a gripping claw for grasping a single bracing panel or plank for holding an entire bank of mounted rails together.
