The present invention relates to the field of small electrical appliances such as battery powered electrical appliances for personal hygiene, in particular to a hair removal device such as an electric shaver or epilator as well as an electric toothbrush. The small electrical appliance comprises an electric load, wherein the electric load heats up during operation; a measuring circuitry for measuring an electrical parameter of the electric load; a temperature sensor arranged spatially separated from the electric load; and control circuitry adapted to protect the electric load from overheating by controlling the electric load based on the electrical parameter of the electric load and an output of the temperature sensor.

A personal hygiene device has a drive unit having a support, a stator fixedly mounted at the support, and an armature spring-mounted at the support for driven linear oscillating motion along a first longitudinal direction parallel to or coinciding with an x-axis of an x-y-z coordinate system. At least the coordinate [x, y, z] of the center of gravity of the armature has an offset in at least one of the y-direction and z-direction with respect to the coordinate [x, y, z] of the center of gravity of the drive-shaft or with respect to the coordinate [x, y, z] of the center of gravity of the first treatment head assembly, i.e., y&#x2260;yand/or y&#x2260;yand/or z&#x2260;zand/or z&#x2260;z; and the secondary mass element is configured such that the coordinate [x, y, z] of the center of gravity of the secondary mass element is aligned with the coordinate [x, y, z] of the joint center of gravity of the drive shaft, the first treatment head assembly and the armature in the at least one offset direction, i.e., y=yand z=z, so that a line connecting the coordinate [x, y, z] of the center of gravity of the secondary mass element and the coordinate [x, yz] of the joint center of gravity is parallel to or coincides with the x-axis.

The present disclosure provides supports for microfluidic die that allow for nozzles of the microfluidic die to be on a different plane or face a different direction from electrical contacts on the same support. This includes a rigid support having electrical contacts on a different side of the rigid support with respect to a direction of ejection of the nozzles, and a semi-flexible support or semi-rigid support that allow the electrical contacts to be moved with respect to a direction of ejection of the nozzles. The semi-flexible and semi-rigid supports allow the die to be up to and beyond a 90 degree angle with respect to a plane of the electrical contacts. The different supports allow for a variety of positions of the microfluidic die with respect to a position of the electrical contacts.
