A washing machine has a drum for washing laundry therein, and a drum-receiving container in which the drum is arranged rotatably about an axis of rotation and at the bottom of which is provided a container drain. A valve is arranged at the container drain on the drum-receiving container, which valve seals the drum-receiving container at the bottom in watertight and airtight manner. In the upper region of the drum-receiving container is provided an air inlet which is closable in airtight manner by way of an air inlet valve and by way of two oppositely arranged nonreturn valves.

In a method of operating a washing machine, different values for the power required by a drive motor of a drum of the washing machine to accelerate the drum from 30 rpm to 80 rpm are measured and stored as reference values. They can be differentiated by weight or load of laundry, potentially also by different types of laundry. These values are then compared to values derived from an actual washing or dry-spinning process, respectively. As a result of this comparison, it can be determined which values actually measured correspond sufficiently to stored values, and then the load can be determined from this result.

A second flow path leads into the support structure and out again only through the central opening. A washing machine has a rotatable drum in a drum-receiving container with an outlet, a pump with integrated heating device, an injector on the drum-receiving container, a water circuit with several water pipes, wherein at least one water pipe runs from the outlet from the drum-receiving container to the pump, and at least one water pipe runs from the pump to the injector, and a water reservoir between the outlet and pump which is connected to the water pipe from the outlet to the pump. An outlet valve is provided in the water pipe from the outlet from the drum-receiving container to the pump. A pump valve is also provided which is connected to a water pipe with a pump outlet and has an output to a water outlet from the washing machine.

A washing machine has a rotatable drum and drum drive and a drum container for it, an inlet device to introduce water into the drum onto laundry therein, a pump and water pipes, several temperature sensors on the drum container, a heater for heating water and a washing machine controller connected to everything. Laundry in the drum is moistened with a defined quantity of water, wherein the moisture penetration varies depending on the fiber type of the laundry. Then a predefined quantity of water with a predefined temperature is applied to this laundry. The washing machine controller can deduce the fiber type of the laundry from the way how quickly and to what extent heat is extracted from this quantity of water.

A dishwasher has a tub with tub walls and with an outlet, water pipes, valves, a pump, a water inlet into the tub, a dosing module in the tub that has supply compartments for additives and cleaning agents for a cleaning process, wherein the dosing module is designed as a self-contained structural unit independent of the dishwasher and removable therefrom. A control unit is provided for the dishwasher, for the dosing module, for the pump and for the valves. The dosing module has a communication module for communication with the control unit, wherein a planar transmission device having a plurality of L-C-resonant circuits inductively coupled to one another and each with a transmitting coil and a transmitting capacitor is arranged along a tub wall of the tub for transmitting signals and power. A washing machine has a drum, a sump underneath the drum, a water circulation including an extractible drawer for introducing detergent or additives, the water circulation being in fluid connection to detecting means for detecting microfibers or contamination in the water and a circulation pump and pipes for circulating water. A method for its operation comprises the steps of branching off an amount of water circulating in the circulation and transporting it to the detecting means for being analyzed and analyzing the water in the detecting means. Depending on the result of this analysis, a filtering process with filtering means for filtering out the microfibers from the water is activated. The microfibers that have been filtered out can be collected and then removed easily from the washing machine.

The temperature of and the moisture in the air which is discharged from the drum are detected. The profile of said temperature and moisture is compared with prespecification curves, which are stored in a memory, for the profile of said temperature and moisture by means of calculation means depending on the drying phase of the laundry. The operating point of the prespecification curve at which the drying program is located is determined in this way. The control arrangement influences the further drying program, on the basis of the operating point, by way of adjusting the temperature and/or the intensity of the air stream.

A device for the dehumidification of air in a processing space of a dishwasher is connected in an air-conducting manner to the processing space of the electric appliance. The device includes carbon-based fibres, which are designed as a fibre unit. The fibre unit is arranged between the processing space or an air duct connected thereto and at least one dehumidification chamber of the device. The carbon-based fibres absorb moisture from the air of the processing space, which they then release again in the dehumidification chamber. During this process, the carbon-based fibres are moved backwards and forwards between the processing space or air duct and the dehumidification chamber, preferably by slow rotation on a support.

A heating device has a support and a heating element arranged on it, the heating element having two electrical terminals and a multiplicity of heating conductors that are electrically connected to one another. Starting from the one terminal, the heating element is divided into a number of heating conductors parallel to one another and in series one behind the other toward the second terminal. In this case, at least three heating conductors are connected in parallel next to one another and at least three heating conductors are connected in series one behind the other. Series-connected heating conductor groups can be formed, heating conductors being parallel within a heating conductor group.
